Me too! And there were some amazing routines!
I missed it mostly. Sigh.
It doesn't matter to me too much who is on anyways. I really just like watching them because I think it looks awesome.
I do wish they would smile more though during their floor routines. It would make a lot of them look much nicer. Some look kinda awkward because of it.

I noticed the other day that when it flashes to the 'romantic date' looking bit towards end of his 'thought sequence' the woman has a freakin' slice of pizza on her plate. Some super romantic date!

I have gymnastics and swimming fatigue (about to be made worse by a rerun of the 1996 women's gymnastics team tonight... why?). Eager for this weekend and the track and field events to start!
The commercial I've been loving is the one for Target that shows the reactions of kids getting their college acceptance notices. 😍 I want that to be me again this year. 🙂
I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have the VHS of the Magnificent Seven's win in 1996, but I will absolutely be watching it tonight again! I was so psyched when I saw that! Yes!
And can't wait for track and show jumping this weekend!
PS.Silly/stupid question....does anyone else tear up or get emotional when an American wins? I almost cried for the women's gymnastic team. 😳

My cousin ran at the olympic trials for the marathon. She didn't make it but just to be among the people who qualified to try out is amazing. I think they only take 2 or 3 for the team.

Boo! I watched some of the replay of yesterday, but internet was not cooperating. Can't believe NBC didn't show any of the SJ yesterday on tv. 😡 Haven't seen anything today (and I know your a Germany fan), but McLain Ward and Antares were amazing yesterday! There is no prettier grand prix rider, and his horse is awesome! I was bummed that Sapphire was retired before these games, but his new horse is doing a great job of filling that spot.
Anyone watching the gold medal tennis match? Glad Murray is winning, but Federer looks horrible. This is ridiculous!
Germany did pretty bad today. Meredith looked like she was just rushing through it all and hit at least one rail. Every rider on the team hit at least one I think.
I didn't think she looked the best yesterday either. She looked like she was rushing through the course then too.
Hate how it starts so early in the morning. 4:55am and I do not have the best relationship. 😛
That is impressive to be able to try out! They take three. The Americans who finished today were 10th and 11th; the other American was injured a month ago and she started the race but dropped out after a couple miles because she was in too much pain. 🙁
Wow! Totally missed this the first time through the thread. That is awesome! I can't imagine how cool it would be to run/swim/ride/fence/row/etc. next to Olympians!

Yeah she knows a lot of international competitors in various distance events. She ran the marathon for the US at the Pan-America games.

It is pretty awesome, except my flash player keeps crashing. I haven't been able to get through the 3 hrs of gymnastics for the team competitions. I have a ton to catch up on.
Anyone going to watch Show Jumping this morning? Starts at 9am EST. My boss is back so I have to be sneakier, but I will definitely be watching!

I don't think anyone is having any luck on this course. MMB looked good, and I think it was Marcus Ehning (sp?) that had a beautiful course! Looked just like a hunter round. So they aren't doing all bad. 😛
I liked Ehning today, too, I have to admit.
And I liked the last Mexican round. That horse looked nice.
Uggg this definitely does not look like the year for USA SJ gold. 🙁
I just watched Beth Tweddle again. Big step in the landing at the UB, but she still managed to get second because of an awesome routine! 😍

on a side note, the australian free to air coverage of the olympics is SO BAD that I don't get to watch any other people jump aside from the three aussies. So I have NO IDEA how they're going comparitively!!! 😡😡😡😡
