one of the following schools is subjecting me to a colossal pain in the arse:

"Boston University School of Medicine
David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
Morehouse School of Medicine
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicin
The University of Toledo College of Medicine
The University of Vermont College of Medicine
UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School
University of Colorado School of Medicine
University of Mississippi School of Medicine
University of Rochester School of Medicine and Den"

what's the story with this? I had to fill out all these forms online so "certiphi" could run this background check on me and then i signed something electronically and that made me feel all inferior since i've worried for a long time that computers were more virile than me and now i have proof.
in conclusion: how emasculating. also, what's the story with this?
ok thanks, i love you, bye!

Background checks are common in nearly all medical schools before matriculation. It's also a standard procedure in nearly every career- from banking to law enforcement. It's important to know if future students are going to be liabilities for the school/hospital/profession by engaging in unlawful/dangerous behavior. Why are you so surprised?

Background checks are also huge if you work for the federal government. Of course for mine when they asked for someone who knew me I wrote:

Michael Jordan
123 Wilson St.
Wilson, MD 12345
Phone: (123) 456-7890

I don't think I'll be working here long, thank god.
