hello guys : I moved two years ago to United States ,and I'm so lost about the steps to get into a pharmacy school , I know about the pre requirements I have to get the 4 CHMs , Bio anathomy , etc .I 'm attending to a a Community college (Miami Dade College)where there are all these courses that I need .But my question is should I stay in a community college and finish my requirements or should I go to FIU and do my requirements there, and even a bachelor ?? This is my biggest concern .I would like to stay in the Miami Dade , because is a lot easier and I can ensure a good GPA .If I apply to an school like University of Florida for pharmacy do you think they accept all my credits even Physics from Miami Dade .Please I need your help everything is so confusing

A class at a CC is going to count for credit like a class at a university but that doesn't exactly mean they'll be looked at the same. Most people applying to pharmacy school have a BS or BA so you'll be up against people with competitive GPAs and a degree from an established university if you're going to be completing just the bare minimum requirements to apply for school. If I were in your situation I would just finish my two years at CC and transfer to a university to complete my degree to better my odds of getting into pharmacy school.

I can tell you with certainty that UF does not care where you take your prerequisite. I have 3 friends who completed their prerequisite at a cc and one has graduated, other is in rotations and last one is a second year. I've emailed and spoke to their advisors and they said the same thing. Get As on all those classes, destroy the PCAT, find so,e extracurricular and you have a good chance for admission.
