The Best Verbal workbooks aside from EK 101 and TPR hyperlearning?

Hi, I was wondering what the best commercially available verbal workbooks were aside from the EK 101 (I already have) and TPR Hyperlearning workbook (impossible to get, I have been looking for it for weeks. my exam is in a month and I no longer have time to pursue it).


I heard the BR was decent, but also heard a lot of criticism towards it. Any thoughts?

I haven't heard much good about the other main producer's verbal reasoning books. You could reread EK Verbal because it's the best or you could read science journals and newspapers to help you gain more reading comprehension!

I think you've heard what we've all heard. I liked PR better than EK, but both are helpful. BR wasn't bad, it's just not as good as the other two. I used it because I needed more passages and it was useful for that.

BR is okay. It was written by three different authors where one was great, the other decent, and the last bad. The last author typically writes VERY lengthy explanations, so you might be able to pick those passages out. If you really need practice material, this is one of your last good options.

I have been looking on line for more verbal stuff. I wish there was something more.... I am still trying to get the TPR book too. Its so tough!

I have been looking for that TPR book too,but everyone I see is to much I have EK 1001, and I just purchased Kaplan MCAT Verbal Reasoning and Writing review it has 42 passages for $15. I hope its good.
