Has anyone else here experienced this weird feeling towards the last week of studying...where you're in this state between "holy crap AGHHSLKJAHSDA! its next week!" and "man, i'm REALLY tired of doing this?"

i have a feeling i'm not the only one. i've been taking a few achiever exams the last few days and well to say the least it hasn't really helped either of the two mixed emotions that accompany the "burn out" ...nor has the realization that there is still much to be learned and most likely not enough time to get it all in

here's hoping the real exam is not as bastardly as achiever and that lady luck deals me a reasonable version of the exam

umm yes.. i must say i feel the same way. the more i do, the less i feel like i dont know. just so you know, there are others out there that feel the same way you do!! goodluck!!!

ditto here...

but its like that always... cant wait for this to be over... gonna chug some Patron after...

i was so sick of reading DAT stuff i couldnt even study the day before the exam.
dont worry, the DAT is no where near as tough as achiever and you may very well get lucky. I lucked out so much on my reading comprehension since my genetics, vertebrate anatomy and econ courses totally made reading the passages a breeze.

yes i concur and my test is in less than 12 hours! thats why i went and got a massage

heh, i know that feeling, i take my test next thursday. 8 am...
you feel like you know everything, and then you start to doubt and then its game over...lol
must be a mental thing.

I just realized I dont know anything, so Im dont think Im going to bed or to sleep until I read all Campbells over again 😱 😡 ...my exam is in 2 dayyyyyyyyssssssssssss :scared:

yea i'm doubting more and more everyday how much i've really learned in the past 6 weeks. seems as if no matter how much i study, i don't know enough...and i haven't even had enough time to go through schaums that well either, i've gotten through maybe 3 chapters of the 8 or so i really wanted to focus on

"impending doom" is the phrase used by building before taking his exam. here's hoping we are as wrong as he was...

gluck studying uracil, and don't forget... the day before the exam is movie day! pick your movie well. I'm thinking...little miss sunshine or maybe snakes on a plane (haven't seen a movie since pirates 2)

bruinpredent, you know your ish man.

don't worry.

i've burned out.. i fear next quarter.

i'm probably gonna fail all my classes now

thanks for the encouraging words building. i know how you feel about the burning out next quarter man...exam the 25th, school starts the 28th, and low and behold...i have to go in for research the 26th! haha... gotta love it

i also took your advice and bought DAT destroyer, hopefully it'll get to me in time. My plan is to jam through that thing and totally relax the day before the exam, but then again we'll see how that goes

good luck to busdent and uracil, whose exams are coming up!

dude euphoria, this is REALLY helpful...thanks!

no problem bob - got lots more where those came from. like these 😛

I am open to questions too! quiz me!

constitutive operon = operon w/ a mutation whose regulatory gene codes for a defective repressor so the system cannot be turned off & the enzymes are always synthesized

it also require coenzyme and usually is the end-product to activate the repressor
