The curious case of my scores

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am in a curious scenario. My score for organic chemistry was not out when my primary was submitted. After my primary, i found organic 2 score to be a D. Meanwhile, I got acceptance and interviews and now the acceptance university is asking for B in organic. What should I do. Should I try to convince them that take my D, should i retake organic 2 in online university of my own campus?

Loads of advises needed!!!!!!!!!!!

Since you need a C or better for your prereq to count at all, you will need to retake. I don't see how they could take a D when plenty of other candidates were able to get the C, which I've heard is not a flexible standard. Let them know about it and arrange to retake as soon as possible.

I am not sure how you can get out of this without a retake. A C is necessary to satisfy the Organic Chemistry requirement. I cannot comment on on-line vs. classroom.

beg them to not rescind your acceptance.
retake orgo ASAP.
consider yourself lucky if they let you do this (they probably will, but be thankful nonetheless because they don't have to)

Absolutely no way around a retake - you will loose your spot if you don't resolve the problem and get at least the minimum grade you agreed to achieving with your acceptance.

Most schools will require you to send in transcripts several months before you matriculate and if you have not met your end of the contract for acceptance, they will simply give your spot to someone on their waiting list who they feel is more deserving of your seat.

I'm curious as to why this situation is 'curious.' Did you not know you weren't doing well in the class? Bad final or curve at the last minute or something??? Like others have said, contact the school immediately, assure them you are retaking it NOW, and do some sort of tribal dances or something to bring down luck from the heavens.

its too bad this had to happen with a REQUIRED course for ya. I cant help but think they'd be more lenient if it was a random science course... but orgo... ya you NEED that to be in order. good luck- take it over the summer I've done that its not so bad actually 🙂
