I'm interested in possibly transferring out of my program and into another. The receiving program has expressed interest. How would any of you (preferably those who have done this) go about getting released from a program? The receiving program is in my home town and more stable than my current program. While my current program is on probation it is not exactly closing its doors yet so I am uncertain how to approach this situation.

Any input appreciated.

Make your plea from your personal situation only...you have a sick mother that you need to be close to, your spouse was transferred to the town you are seeking to transfer to, etc. Something BIG in your personal life has changed dramatically and its absolutely necessary for you to be there.

No need to smear your current program.....get what you want without revealing your concerns about your current program.

Good luck.
