I would like to know what is exactly the difference between osteopathic and allopathic residency programs. I know that osteopathic residency programs are offered at community hospitals. Other than that, What "limitations" osteopathic residencies could have on ones future practice? Consider the following example :

1) what would be the difference between someone who becomes american board of osteopathic radiology and someone who becomes american board of radiolgy? would both have the same job opportunities? Would both get paid the same for the same job?

2) If you become an american board of osteopathic radiology, then can you apply for radiology fellowships in allopathic programs?

3) If you become an american board of osteopathic radiology, then can you practice in all states?

Not true. Many may be based in community hospitals, but one of the big ones in my area is a 400+ bed county hospital, with programs in FP, ER, Surgery, and new for this next year, IM.
