If you were all powerful and could form your own osteopathic medical school (unlimited funds) and pick and choose different areas from current schools you've interviewed at or researched about to form this new school, what would it look like?

For me:
The Embracepeace College of Osteopathic Medicine (ECOM)--Grand Opening!
-Anatomy Lab would be from WVSOM
-Faculty Reputation would be from MUCOM
-International Missions would be from VCOM
-Core Rotations would be from DMU
-Reputation would be from WesternU
-"Free Items" (iPad, laptop, COMLEX fees, etc etc) would be from KYCOM
-Curriculum would be from KCUMB/VCOM
-Tuition would be from LECOM
-Research would be from I have no idea which school has a lot of research
-Residency Match Site would be from RVUCOM (from what I've seen of this year's data)
-Location would be from Touro NY (NYC, baby!)

What would your school look like? You can add/substract more areas! These are just the ones I could think of.

I agree with most of those, except location would be AZCOM. It felt like a big school and I loved that it was gated and secure.

agree with most of the above

except:
Anatomy Lab, OMM Lab, and Simulation Lab: CUSOM
Location: NSU
Rotations: NSU
Residency matching: PCOM

If I had unlimited funds I would open a DO school at one of the UC's.

But in all seriousness, if one of the UC's had a DO school, at the least it would be extremely competitive to get into. Tons of well qualified California applicants would probably elect to attend a UCI-COM, for example, over NYMC or RFU. That in itself would go a long way in growing the reputation of the DO degree.

If I had unlimited funds I'd open up a DO school in D.C with American University.
I'd take the campus feel from KCUMB.
I'd take the faculty rep from MUCOM.
I'd take the investment power of CUSOM.
and I'd take the curriculum from MUCOM.

There could have been one since it was part of the deal following the California degree conversion issue, but osteopaths at the time didn't want to.

UCI had a DO school until the degree conversion happened in California a few decades ago and it became an MD school as part of that conversion

CUSOM has investment power?
