doesn't really appear to be a strategy at all. Or maybe it would be more appropriate to say that their strategy involves not following other popular strategies(underlining key points, reading stems ahead of time, skipping hard questions,etc).
I'm using a variety of preps and I like EK in some respects, but the idea that they have developed a strategy for the Verbal is a little puzzling. Reading every word of a passage, trying to conceptualize the main idea, and then answering the questions in order hardly constitutes a strategy. Oh yeah, and the 5 second thing.
Again, I like the EK materials a lot and their "advice" on the verbal is actually pretty close to what I do, but I just don't see the strategy involved.
