Umm Bio1 lab was horrible spent 3 hours doing 4-5 page lab reports, and 2-3 page prelabs, one project was using a bunch of wrenches to grab nuts.. and how that related to the galpagos island finches. 4-5 pages on that crap every week! Buncha busy work in college, and im damn sick of it!

my votes are for calc, cell bio, and orgo chem.

The material isn't really all that difficult in any of them but for calc and cell bio the profs went out of their way to make the exams more difficult than they were teaching it, and while I love the material for orgo it's just too fast in the summer. Can't keep it straight in my head when it comes to the exams.

definitely physics.

when the prof started off the class by telling us the following joke-

"i had a student that complained to me about the relevance of physics. i told him to think hard about it over the weekend and get back to me. on monday, the student came to me and said, 'i thought really hard about it but just can't see how physics is useful for med school'. to which i replied, 'it keeps students LIKE YOU out of med school!" then he laughed heartily.

i knew it might not be a good semester.

most time consuming = Ochem. Plus the material meant absolutely nothing to me. if I can't make a connection, I don't learn it.

most boring = gen bio 2. It was right after I ate lunch and I fell asleep EVERY DAY. got a B because of it, which sucks cuz I know I should've gotten 100%.

most difficult = any English class. I don't know what it is, but I can't write anything that isn't technical. I managed to get an A in College Writing and an A- in Lit, but I worked my ass off, pulling all-nighters all the freaking time. But I wanted that A so my HS English teacher could kiss my a$$. She gave me a D senior year. Ha, I am literate.

oh, and a lab for anything. They just plain suck. Guess that's why I didn't do any research!

soooo true. mine had a thick russian accent. and my TA was an international student and also had a thick korean accent.

at least when you asked the professor to repeat himself, you didn't get yelled at!! 🙄
College Trig was easy...when you could follow the syllabus. I actually stopped paying attention to the guy and simply followed the syllabus. I dropped his class and signed up with another professor: a dorky, geeky, Physics maniac who loved teaching. 😀

Organic Lab also sucked donkey balls. Having to watch something reflux for two hours only to have all your product evaporate at the end. YEE HAW.

The english requirement. I have done fine in the classes, but disagree that it should be a requirement. Strongly recommended fine, but to actually make me waste an ellective is annoying.

Well raistlin...we agree a lot, but I teach Freshman English and I see some damn fools in that class. I don't want to work with doctors who cannot make a written argument

Physics rocks, but Physical Chemsitry, I must say, is unpleasant.

oh yeah I almost forgot! anyone complaining about physics or g chem, take a p chem class and then see if you still think physics/gchem were really that bad

some people just don't like physics, like myself. I HATE it I HATE it. You know what I think bothers me about physics is that everything seems to be "ideal" or in such and such senario, ignore this friction or that, etc. That just bothers me for some reason
However, I found gen chem, organic chem and biochem to be rather simplistic and enjoyable🙂
