I thought I should start a thread for all those who think that they might have applied to too many schools as reality is finally setting in as they begin to get swamped with secondaries...

Wow, that's a lot of forms to fill out! At least you can use pretty much the same essays for most of the schools. Good luck!

LMAO Great thread!

I've realized a couple of schools don't fit me as well as I thought they did, as portrayed by the essays in the secondary. I've also come to the conclusion that KCOM is too rural for me.

Most importantly I had a handful of MD schools that I realized I'd rather not attend and certainly don't feel justified by spending 500 of my hard earned dollars for a chance at one of these undesirable outcomes.

Primaries: 30 (14 DO, 16 MD)
Plan to ignore secondaries: 8 (2 DO, 6 MD)
New total: 22 (12 DO, 10 MD)

BTW most of the MDs that made my cut are secondary-less, or at least essay-less!

7 DO

Probably will cut out at least 3 of those MD on second glance though, and might drop 1 DO school, so

Secondaries:

19 MD
6 DO

Still alot. Thank god for the UMDNJ's, Upstate, Buffalo, etc. for having easy secondaries. Alleviates some stress.

Completed 27 MD secondaries so far.

I wish AACOMAS would get there act together and give my primary to DO schools. It really hasn't been that bad so far. I have 0 motivation to do secondaries at the moment though.
