So First time applying, Wanted to know about the interview. How does it go? What sort of questions do they ask you? How long does it usually take? Any answers or tips would be helpful. Thanks!

At the top of the page, there's this link that says "Interviews." People have posted different questions they were asked and their experiences at different schools. Very helpful stuff!

Read the book about pharmacy interviewing - such as this one . I have an older edition of this book, but I doubt it changed much. I wouldn't rely on it solely, but it's a good basic information. The other best source is to arrive early to your interview and ask who your interviewer is. Then ask the current students what that person is like and what they like to ask.

+1

I got a book on interviewing for jobs in general from the public library, and I think that it helped A LOT. It started out that people who interview that aren't in HR basically have no idea how to interview effectively, and gave tips from there.

Good Luck!

I would also add being sincere, warm and open during the interview. There is nothing less pleasant than feeling like you are interrogating an enemy spy, prying one- or two-word answers from an applicant who just sits there and barely looks you in the eye. Also, please answer the question being asked, don't ramble on and on about something barely related. My two pet peeves.
