The Last Lecture.

+1. Randy Pausch was part of my inspiration to go into medicine. He has another lecture about time management that is also very helpful. His advice served me well, especially during the first 2 years of medical school. My favorite tip: keep a time log so you can track how you're spending every hour of every day. (There are apps that make doing this pretty easy.)

Definitely read the book. I've re-read it 2 or 3 times, it's a really fast read and very inspirational (and emotional).

Fun fact: CMU built a bridge connecting the new computer science building with the arts building and named it the Pausch bridge...it's gorgeous at night when all lit up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sL-8r3kMBw
