I have never raced on the street. I've been called out on the street and made arrangements to meet at a track. My husband flipped his car going 120mph on back roads while racing a SRT-4 with a bunch of mods. He didn't see a median in the middle of the road until he was about to hit it, therefore over correcting. I wasn't around (of course that's when he did it since I don't condone that behavior), but I was pretty freaking mad. He was lucky to survive. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol. So yah.... street racing = bad.

Yes, he was. Awwwww... I get that a lot. The first time I showed up to an all day dynotune event, everyone just assumed I was the "supportive girlfriend." Well.. that was until it was my turn. Most people don't believe that I'm into cars, say it's an act.. whatever.. I don't care. My friends and the people that have seen me work on the cars or race them know. Also, I am very girly... people have said I have "barbie" hair umm weird, but girly right? I've also broken my cutesy fake nails off when they have gotten in the way of doing some work. I've met some really awesome girls that race... there just aren't many of them. The others that I've met try to prove too much and can't admit when they don't know something. Sometimes, even I am surprised at the stupid crap that they make up (that goes for guys too though). I definitely don't know everything, but I learn as I go and if I'm wrong- I have a pack of guys to point it out... publicly haha.

That's good... I'm sure you'll do great!!! I'm done with this semester and it's pretty awesome. I got my final grades today yay 🙂 Do you have several finals left?
 
4:39 a.m. just finished watching "The Running Man" and have started watching "Tropic Thunder" My circadian cycle blows due to finals studying and post-finals partying.

Lol u have interesting personality, and yeah i am glad that ppl like you show to guys that we/girls can be good at everything and even cars!🙂
 
LOL... yah I can be a bit of a goof/silly/extremely passionate about cars haha. It makes me proud when I see other girls who can race... or just are good at things guys usually are considered better at 😉 It sucks though when other women can't really be supportive of each other because they like being the only girl doing [insert task here]. I really hate seeing that, but overall I'd say I'm a pretty supportive person. What are you doing up so late? (If you already posted why, my bad, I didn't go back and look lol)

still up writing a final essay due on thursday. but need to finish now so i can study for my other exams on friday and saturday... plus i've been pulling all nighters the past 4 nights so I might as well keep the streak going. hopefully bed by 8/9am

I was just browsing, and reading old sdn posts cuz i haven't been there for a long time (since fall quarter started). But right now in about to go to bed and listen an audio book it makes me fall asleep lol. Tomorrow i need to wake up early ;( and go to work. You?
 
I was doing some work and lately, I've been staying up pretty late. I was just kind of lurking on here and then found something interesting to post about lol. My dog is thoroughly annoyed that the lights are still on 🙂

I hadn't felt like I had really celebrated getting accepted to med school so the other night I went to my wifes work Christmas party.....open bar.....jack and coke (lost count), long island tea (several), shiner (many).....

Didn't know my age affected my recovery!! 😡

I dont drink all that much and man......that one hurt.
 
lol now that is a celebration. Yes, its amazing what a couple of years can do to you. I used to be able to drink that much then wake up and do PT in the army. Now I have four beers and I wake up with a two day hangover.
