Just 5 days to go until I start 1st year! Unfortunately, I failed my Hep B titer so I have to redo the whole shebang. 🙁 I had never had the Hep B series before so I had been very responsible and started the series in October because I wanted it done before school started this month. Of course, my immune system did not cooperate. And the school requires that I redo it a second time. It'll cost more money, too, which kind of sucks.

Thanks, berriesandcream, It is exciting! A little nervous about the debt and readjusting to being a FT student at my "advanced" age. 😛

Only 3 days left of being a "civilian." :laugh:
 
Hi, LateNighters!

So, I am just about finished with my first week of med school. It is pretty intense - we've covered 6 chapters each in histology and embryology already! I don't have a science background so I am really struggling right now, so much of this stuff is brand new to me but I expected this. Anatomy starts next week so things will get even more intense.

I haven't been on here much since I have to get up at 5:30 AM every day to commute to school. :d

While I'm jealous, I have every intention of enjoying my last weeks of freedom.

I have a really good friend who said the same thing around this time of year. He is now about to be a 3rd year at UCSF med school. You can do it!
 
Its 3:36AM PST and I'm rocking out to the music while powering through some secondaries. This is sad.

3:15 here in CA, eating noodle soup, drinking coke, staring at my almost finished AMCAS, but mostly goofing off on fb. cool 👍
 
Still 14 days for MCAT score! Fury and anger.

Oh, the usual, just sweating over something related to the app process. Trying to figure out how much time I should give a professor I asked about a letter to respond... Dunno how many days to give her till I email her again and risk looking like a typical gunner lol. You?

lol me? I'm in a bad situation right now homie, flunked out of UC recently and am taking classes at local CC...Can't decide if I should go back or not. I'm thinking about LAC now, so I can avoid that cutthroat experience from large school.
 
i'm awake!! party time!! (and by party, i mean secondaries)

(and by secondaries, i mean wasting time on SDN)
 
haven't even started undergrad and I'm already posting. Mostly out of boredom, but still.
