I don't even leave home on black Friday. I go shopping at odd days/times to avoid the normal store crowds, I don't think my psyche could handle the holiday crowds.

I did do some of my x-mas shopping online though.
 
Hm this is probably not "late," but the idea of Monday is drawing closer and must buckle down and get some studying done! who's studying on a Saturday night?

I feel you! How is it that I had a six day weekend and waited until the last minute to do any studying?

I'm currently writing a paper on a Comparative Study of Wedding Venues. :barf: What are you studying this evening?

oh my, i agree, a whole week spent pretending like i'm not a pre med or anything :laugh:
ahhh fun, paper! i am currently studying plasma membranes, proteins, and photosynthesis for an upcoming cell bio exam. A whole week to study and i spend the last three days reading four chapters and preparing for the written portion 😱

i watched it once, i would definitely watch it again if money permits.

I am going to study physics.....it's not my favourite.

The new movie was alright. I had never read any of the books or seen the other movies so I didn't really know what was going on.

We've been watching the other movies this week and tonight it was the goblet of fire which I rank as the worst of the ones I've seen so far.

Actually, I do agree with that....Goblet of Fire is the worst.

Also...seeing the movies without reading the books is a recipe for disaster. I keep trying to tell Elijah05 this and he doesn't want to listen🙂

Well, I watched it with my brother a week after it came out for the first time.

Yesterday, I was babysitting and the mother wanted me to take the little girl I was sitting and her cousin to go see it. I don't know if it really counted as watching, since I was going from one side to the other explaining the whole entire movie to each little girl. Every person was deemed "good guy" or "bad guy". (The Minister of Magic was the "Bad President", Voldemort was the "Bad Boogeyman", etc. )

And then yesterday night my friend asked if I wanted to go see it. He was paying, so I said sure.

My sister also wants to see it with me, so I'll be seeing it with her this next week. Plus I used to work at a theater and a few of the people there asked if I would go with them, so I'll be getting in free to that one. All in all, I'll see it about 5 times in the course of two weeks. :laugh:

as for the little kids, i have realized that explaining a movie like harry Potter to kids (or those) who have not seen it is pretty damn difficult. I saw it with my brother and like every few minutes, it would be a "why" "who" or "what happens next" question. I doubt i even saw it 😡

Most definitely. Seeing the others is sort of a pre-requisite. I would have much rather taken them to a movie like Tangled.

as for yesterday, I watched unstoppable. Pretty good, adrenaline pumping, out-load cheering movie.
hey, my family has not seen me in weeks because i've locked myself up studying, so a mediocre movie and dinner with family is priceless 😍

I really meant just Toyota cars in general. I like cars like the Corolla, Prius, and Lexus. Maybe it's just me. :laugh:
Those are the only cars I have driven/have experience with, so make what you will of that.

by the end of these two weeks, my sleeping schedule will be off. it's already 3am, why not push it a bit more 😴
 
if you're lucky you can push it all the way back to a normal sleeping schedule. when i need to be awake during the day, this is how i reset it :3

maybe i'll go on a late night denny's run right now. i forget to eat sometimes ><

i am GREATLY afraid of that happening, but right now, it seems like the fact of life. no sleep is actually better than like a 1 hour nap.

mm Denny's! go go! i just fixed myself some microwave noodles. last meal was 7pm! haha

I played HS football and the username stuck. Tried out in college too but walking on to a D1 team is damn near impossible haha I was told I almost made it but a JC player took my spot. Oh well.

The Arnold AV comes from the fact that I love working out. Unfortunately after a back injury took me out of powerlifting I have pretty much been out of the gym for a long long time now. Its been really difficult to get myself mentally into my workouts and its physically difficult due to a 4 day a week 12hr overnight work schedule.

Hey wolverine! (and all late nighters!)

Went to bed early....and woke up. Now I'm watching Trauma on Hulu. Horrible acting...but cool mass traumas.

I have a long day of work tomorrow then off the rest of the week for an interview. I'm excited! Wish I could sleep though. Also wish I had worked out today 🙂

It isn't unusual for me to stay up for 30-36 hours on weekends, partly in a vain attempt to reset my Circadian rhythm. It doesn't really work for me anymore. My clock has been messed up for four years now, long story, but a very frustrating problem, to say the least. :meanie: I stayed up for 36 hours from Friday into late Saturday night. :d

Anyhoo, Late Nighters,

I do have to try to get to bed soon because I have to be up early to take my aunt to have cataract surgery. I have a bag packed with snacks, magazines, and my iPod is loaded with a few movies. 🙂 I learned to bring a "survival bag" to the hospital during many years as a caregiver for my Mom. Tip: Always assume you will be there all day. Sometimes hospital staff comment on how patient I am. Since I have worked in hospitals myself, of course I realize people are doing the best they can and there is nothing you can do to hurry things.

As far as HP goes I like the movies and really love the books! Haven't seen the new HP movie yet. By the way, if you go to see the movie Love and Other Drugs, look for me in it. It was filmed in my hometown and I was an extra in the movie! 🙂
 
Hello late-nighters.
I'm sooo ready for sleep this morning 🙂 On my 3rd 12.5 hr hospital shift. My patients are a handful today - needy relatives and every one of them has JP drains, colostomys, illeostomys, etc. I get off at 715a tho!!! Then some much needed sleep (and a fat glass of wine), before working on finals stuff.

Hoping to sneek off to see HP 7 part 1 again without anyone knowing so I don't get made fun of. I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd - can't wait for part 2 tho, b/c if felt incomplete without me seeing the ending.

same here, will be getting off at 8am 🙂xf🙂. I'm hoping for something exciting in the ER tonight cuz I'm super tired and coffee just won't cut it tonight! I've seen harry potter 7 p.1 twice already and July 15th can't come soon enough!!!!

You're soooo lucky you work in the ER. I just came from the ER before I moved and I loved it - on the floors is way too boring and I miss the trauma patients. Luckily I'm wide awake tonight for some reason (must be the excitement of anticipating a day off, lol... Or the 6 cups of coffee) so here's to hoping tonight goes by quickly for us both.

Hola late nighters! I am also working in the ER tonight (scribing). Pretty slow and definitely a chest pain night tonight. Any other good movies besides HP? I haven't seen it yet!
 
I haven't seen any lately, except "Skyline" (took my little brother who begged to go) and it was pretty much the worst movie on the face of the planet - tied with "The Box" w/ Cameron Diaz. Lol.

Has anyone seen that new one with Anne Hathaway and Jake (however you spell his last name) yet?
 
Haha, the Box was horrible! I still have no clue what was going on in that movie or why they even made it.

has anyone seen Tangled yet? I saw it on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The animation was very lovely, too.

The Box was beyond ******ed. I refused to see Skyline. It also looks ******ed.

I really want to see Tangled and the one with Anne Hathaway. It costs money now though. 🙁
 
I just won some movie ticket from work so I'm gonna go watch Tangled and TRON this month hopefully! TRON might be a midnight showing if I can get off work!
 
I saw an INSANE 3D fifteen minute trailer at Disneyland a few weeks ago...cannot wait to see it.

Right afterward, as we were leaving the park, we saw some guys came out of the bathroom in their TRON costumes.


There are few things hotter than guys in TRON costumes.
