I saw an INSANE 3D fifteen minute trailer at Disneyland a few weeks ago...cannot wait to see it.

Right afterward, as we were leaving the park, we saw some guys came out of the bathroom in their TRON costumes.


There are few things hotter than guys in TRON costumes.

I'm excited about TRON. I'll probably end up buying the soundtrack; it sounds pretty sweet from the trailers.

it looks epic. It's been at least a decade since I saw the original but I'mma have to rewatch it and then go see it the new one 😀

I saw HP with Grams over turkey day break and it was epic but cutting it off mid book was lame, though I guess a 4 hour movie isn't appealing to that many people.

I really wanna see the one with Jolie and Depp (their first movie together, ever! ) and as dorky as it is, Burlesque.

Why, oh why, does it have to be sorta finals week? I only have 1 final so all of my other tests/papers are next week. AND I got a secondary from UCSF finally that I've gotta write and send out ASAP. Add to that, I got uber sick over the break and

Pills. Didn't bring solution. I took 3 pills (normal dose is 2) and I'm good for now. Probably will take another 3 in 4 hours. I think the precautions are due to the acetaminophen in it so I should be ok with that for now.

Never sacrifice the family guy. Dexter is awesome though. I haven't watched this season but I'm the kind of person who likes to sit down and watch espisodes constantly in a row. I've watched every single episode of Scrubs, Smallville (such a waste but I was committed after 3 seasons lol), How I Met Your Mother, House, and a few other shows plus a few anime series lol (Bleach (still ongoing), Full Metal Alchemist + Brotherhood and a couple others I can't remember now). Anyone got any good recommendations?

As you can tell, I have too much free time and a bit of a TV addiction.

I started watching Smallville like 10 years ago when it first started so I was pretty committed to it once I started. I can't leave anything unfinished. I've watched some really really bad TV shows too. Legend of the Seeker comes jumping to mind. That was pretty painful to watch after a while.

I agree, the latest southpark has just not been up to par. It was best when they stuck to the "a few friends messing around in a little town" instead of " a few friends dealing with worldwide crisis" 🙁

agreed. I'm sure they'll get back to it eventually. I read somewhere that they actually make the show like Monday/Tuesday before it airs so that they can make fun of anything that happened during the week The episode after Obama was elected was a prime example lol they had to have been working on that one right up until the deadline to air it.

Thats true, they are very current with whats going on in the news. Its kinda sad they gave into threats though about that episode that depicted Mohammed. Its incredible the amount of work that must go into making a show like that so quickly...

what's TRON?

Actually, even though I am older, I have never seen this one. I know it is a sci fi movie with the original having been released in the 70's but don't know anything else about it. I like sci fi so might have to see this one.

Wow, and I felt odd exercising at 10 or 11 PM. I am definitely a night owl. I just cannot stand to exercise in the morning.

Took my aunt for cataract surgery on Monday. All day in the hospital, boring with a capital B. 😴 Back to work today...

I'm dying and can't sleep. I had my back 2 molars prepped for new crowns ( I chipped a tooth and it apperently was bad enough to require crowns to fix. Damn me and my grinding!) i've never had a crown before so i had no idea just how friggen sore I'd be. My whole jaw is killing me. I have a really small mouth so the dentist had to wrench on my cheek to get to the last molar.

I have a huge anatomy quiz tomorrow but can't study. Too much pain.


Funny story though: so in my lab we essentially expose cancer cells to ultrasound. We did an experiment today and were trying to figure out why we were getting no cells. like, complete destruction of all of our cells. After 4 test tubes and trial conditions, we took our 5th vial and just did a normal count. turns out, there were no cells in that flask, meaning there were no cells in any of our other flasks either. apperently all of the cells had settled to the bottom of our seeding flask and whoever distributed the sample didn't mix it up first. Silly day.

This is exactly why I don't go to dentists. Even for teeth cleaning, I always end up leaving in more pain than I went in. They'll never have my wisdom teeth. NEVER!

be yourself, relax and try to make conversation (medicine or non medicine related).....ask questions if you don't understand something doctors that let you shadow are always more than happy to answer questions...good luck

I would amend that slightly....ask questions when you are not around the patient. Be a shadow; silent, out of the way, polite, keep your poker face, when you are near patients. Do not gasp in surprise at information or say "wow"😉

Keep your questions in mind for when you are between patients.

Before you get started, make sure you are clear on what she/he wants from you; always stand in a corner, always wait outside the door until they ask the patient permission, whatever.

Dress in business casual and wear comfy shoes🙂

Well-done! You got it all right...which is kinda scary. My sleep cycle is completely messed up, that is so true.... It was ok first year, getting progressively worse, now it's just all over the place. Medical school turned me into a zombie...and I used to be normal once! awww 😳

Well lately I have been working on a few DVTs, and after cramming path for 10 hrs I think I am developing early onset alzheimers. It's really a race to see which one kills me first.

I don't mind weird people so much either. But not for any good reason, mostly because it is interesting to be around them. You never know what kind of exotic or inappropriate and awkward thing is going to be said!
