No way i was gonna join in, hes a dude which is kind of a turnoff (at least for me).

Nah.. they weren't in the same room as me, just down the hall. Today I found out he had two ladies over on a different night, he gets madd girls for a chubby dude that wears a cowboy hat and tries to dress like lemmy from motorhead. Maybe that's his appeal....?

I like the suggestion of putting porn on, but I think having a really loud girl over and give him a taste of his own medicine would be even better (only for the sake of revenge, of course).

And he ate my unopened bag of tortilla chips which I discovered only after making the most bangin guacamole in all of south Baltimore. Time to move out? I think yes.

I'm up watching a movie called Triangle. Holy smokes it is scary! And I am not easily freaked out, mind you. I had to take a break because I rented it as a download from iTunes, I couldn't wait until it was all downloaded, and I'm waiting until more of it downloads. Honestly, I live alone and I got up and checked all the door locks. :scared: I am watching this on my new HDTV that I bought myself for Xmas. It is my first HDTV and it is a beautiful thing. 😀

Anyone else up?

I still remember the first movie that scared me as a kid....it was called Watcher In The Woods. It was a Disney movie...but it scared the ever loving daylights out of me. To this day I still can't think of it at night or I get chills.
 
the movie that scared the crap out of me as a kid was IT! i still hate clowns cuz of it. I don't know why my mom let me watch that crap, but she wouldn't let me watch american pie, wtf!

I did get to see 3 ER docs try to intubate a week old infant and they couldn't and a Neonate specialist came and got it on first try, I bet he felt awesome after that, cuz I know I would have.

I'm up because my roommates are being extremely loud... as usual. I would say something, but everytime I try to talk about some of the issues I have with them, they look at me as if they don't understand what I'm saying (they're international students from China). I was thinking about finding a website to translate "Shut the F**k up!" into Chinese so that I could print it out (in huge, obnoxious print) and hand them all a copy. But one of them promised to teach me how to cook Chinese food this week :banana:... and I don't wanna screw that up. :bang: 😀

Plus it's New Years, so I guess I can tolerate it tonight... :yawn:

I work in psych research with kids, teens, and young adults. No kidding over the years there have been several subjects who stated that they had a clown phobia and they attributed it to watching this movie as a kid. Really, this movie oughta come with a warning sticker...
 
Hah. IT was my favorite movie as a kid. I found it to be creepy, thrilling, and funny at the same time. I don't remember really being scared. Not surprisingly, or maybe this movie set me up for it, I grew up to really like dark comedy. 😀

I just got home from work. I am too amped to sleep. I am supposed to meet a friend at the gym tomorrow for her first ever gym workout.

don't get me wrong, i'm glad they are putting in the effort so i definitely support it, but i don't like having to wait for a bench or squat rack.

but let's be real...i'll give it two weeks before it settles back down :laugh:

Yeah, it's kind of annoying how packed it is right after new years. I try not to complain though since I spend the other 11 months of the year bitching about how out of shape the average American is.

Sort of yes sort of no.

We made the plan a month ago. She didn't want to start until holiday craziness settled down (whatever that means). Since I'm a personal trainer she trusts me. She has had a gym membership for 10 years and not been back since she bought it. She has no idea how to use any of the equipment and is basically just scared to go. If I had not suggested going with her I doubt she would have ever gotten up the nerve....so it wasn't like a resolution that she was going to do with or without me. It was more that I convinced her it was a good idea and it happened to coincide with New Year's-ness🙂
 
What the? Why would someone keep renewing a gym membership for 10 years and never use it. My one year is $200 at 24hourfitness. That's crazy.😕
 
I have the costco deal, i think it was 200 for two years @ 24 hour fitness

She has had 24 for a lot longer than you...she pays like 5 bucks a month🙂


But also, if she cancels it....she is admitting she will never go. She is paying for the dream.

A lot of people do that. Not as many as used to do it..but a lot.

24 used to just rake it in because of those people who paid but never came. In the last few years they have been in trouble though because those people are canceling.

It is way more common than you think though.

I was going to take a personal trainer course at my undergrad because I love going to the gym. But I kinda got tied up with other things so I wasn't able to do it. Maybe I can find some kind of training to get a certification in my area...

How do you like doing it?

Slept through my alarm, and was late meeting my friend. Worried I totally traumatized her....pictured her waiting at the gym, crying, and leaving because I wasn't there. I called her and left a message and she was there when I got there, all smiley. She got the message and waited🙂 She did an awesome job. Can't wait to see how sore she is....
 
Still getting used to the school schedule again... have had 3-4 hours sleep the last four nights
 
Ah the gym. Our 24 is wall to wall middle-agers who should be at work but are to busy doing a set of curls and looking at themselves in the mirror. Then they do a little chest and NEVER wipe the machines down.At the same time they're creeping on the stay-at-home moms who frequent same gym.

I've seen people walk in and do BENCH..... then leave
 
This is why I do matwork classes like yoga and pilates. I bring my own mat and I am thus not touching anything anyone else has touched or sweated on. 😛

Anyone else up tonight? Thank God it's the weekend!
 
Yea time to relax..

I just got done taking some winter course. Now I have a 1 week break before spring term starts

I hate the sweaty gym stuff as well. I'll be assembling a home gym the moment I get a bigger place.
