Can't sleep. Rented house out 3 months before leaving town because I was lucky to find someone to take it long term. Now sleeping on broken cot (no springs from waist down, so...it's like sleeping on a slide). Back in serious pain. Every morning I wake up feeling like my shoulders are about to rip off. I can't even sleep on the couch because my mother has some crazy short, split, separately rocking couch. It's like trying to sleep on 2 separate yoga balls.

Third attempt to pull an all-nighter. Failed the previous 2 nights and ended up falling asleep right after drinking coffee.

Probably means that you drink so much coffee that your body doesn't give a sh** anymore! lol

+1

I tend to use Monster on successful all nighter nights. Five years ago when I took orgo the first time (good times.....) I used Vault to stay awake every night before each exam. Vault now tastes like organic chemistry to me. Haven't drank it since

12:05. Ugh, two days left to do all the stuff I should have started days ago...

yes. i keep having these moments where i make some progress and think huh, now if only i'd done that a WEEK ago i'd be in good shape! when will i LEARN :scared:

Yay- late night thread... long time stalker, first time walker. I start to lose it at this time of night (1:18am in Albuquerque). Good to know others are suffering with me. For a detailed summary of my late night physchosis going on right now, read my blog, link below. Power to the night people.👍

Also, does the combination of wee hours and caffeinated drinks make anyone else's mouth taste like a garbage pail fire?

Oh... mine neither...

Thanks! I have o-chem, bio, and physics, w/ o-chem and physics on the same day and bio the next morning.

I think I'll try getting a few hours of sleep right now and *hopefully* wake up early and not sleep through 4 alarms like last time. G'night!

Indeed. I've really enjoyed my week off. I assume it'll be a while before you hear back about that orgo midterm, but how did you feel?

Thanks for asking!

Okish. I'm thinking high C, low B, so right around the class average as my professor doesn't curve. But when it comes to pre-med pre-reqs my judgement isn't very good when it comes to predicting my grades.

What killed me was the organic synthesis problem, which if I had started studying a couple of days sooner or if my professor curved then I would be ok.But otherwise I did fairly good on the rest of the exam.

Either way I am not too disappointed with myself and figure that I nail the final my lowest exam grade will get dropped.

Nice work! I love when the lowest exam gets dropped.

Thanks. And despite the lack of the curve, which in some ways in made up for my dropping the lowest exam score, my professor's grading scale isn't too bad. I got a 79 (out of 100) on the first exam and still have an A in the class. So as long as I focus I should be good grade wise in this class, and plus I am getting better at learning how to study for o-chem.

Sounds a lot like one of my Bio classes right now. 83 on the first test, A in the class. His second test was a little bit of a sucker punch...I'll be happy if my grade is anything in the 70s. If it is I will still easily be able to earn an A for semester. No curve, just an effed up grading scale.

That's good that you are getting the hang of it. I absolutely sucked at o chem. It was the most demoralizing college experience that I had. 🙁 I really hope people are right when they say there isn't much o chem in med school.

Oh, and you only had one synthesis problem?! OMG when I took o chem 80% of each test was synthesis problems!

My first biochem exam the average was around 70, pretty good. Second midterm, 50.

When I took ochem the entire final was synthesis reactions!

has anyone seen Battle LA yet, I wanna know if it was good or not! and if it was anything like Independence Day?
