I crashed so hard from 5:00 pm to 8:20ish that I don't think I'll be falling asleep anytime soon.

Have lab writeups to work on anyway.
 
May try sleeping soon- I know I'll get called the instant I do tho

p.s. Is anyone else so used to working late that you can't sleep before like 2am? This is the first time I've finished work before 1am, and I'm not that tired.
 
I'm so used to being up for work all night that I can't fall sleep before 6am on my nights off.
 
I can't sleep. 🙁 I am getting sick, probably a sinus infection and feel crappy and can't breathe. Have to get up at 7 AM for work. Gonna be a long day. +pity+

On the bright side I am buying a new cell phone tomorrow. I will order it online since I am sick. But I am getting a Thunderbolt smartphone. I realized a few weeks ago that I can't pull out my 5 year old outdated cell phone around my peers when med school starts. :laugh:
 
im working on completely throwing my sleeping cycle into chaos.

I work the desk at school over night........and then I have class till 7 pm right after

I was on the road for a couple days and then spent some time in the "Dr's Lounge" here on SDN. Crazy place, I don't recommend it for a sweet girl like you.

Yup I'm in the same boat, Vandy. Between last week's midterms and spring break this week, anything vaguely resembling a circadian rhythm is gone.

A Thousand Different Ways was a much stronger album in my op--uh, uhm, who listens to Clay Aiken? So lame. Lame to the max.

hm thanks for asking! I'm taking mine May 21, so I'm still working on content. I think I need to step it up, so finishing up Physics next week, starting and finishing bio the week after. I find that I need to just practice the hell out of it, but i'm optimistic! Plus, I think studying for it is kinda fun? 😱

Well, the lounge is pretty much what dbeast described. It's a forum with limited moderation which means you can swear, to some extent but that really just means they'll be swearing at you.

The other day when there were like 65 circumcision threads going in pre-allo, 64 of them were deported to the lounge. Looks like 63 of them are still going strong.

It's really bizarre because they'll have about 5 threads going strong at any time, and it's the same 5 - 10 regular posters that are always in there. If you pop your head in as a n00b they haze the **** out of you. Anyway, it's basically like a themed chat for these 10 regulars. Pop into the circ thread, say something about wangs, disparage any non-regular whose posted, move on the thread about illegitimate children, say something about this to all the same people who were in the circ thread, move on to the third topic, and so on and so forth. What's weird is that in any given thread, it's sort of like they're pretending that they aren't having 4 other completely different conversations in 4 other threads.

Sounds like a fun game at first, but it's really just an electronic version of that one table in the middle school cafeteria where only the cool kids had lunch together, and you could watch them in awe but you were not allowed to participate unless you were invited after withstanding the proper amount of hazing.

Only this time, all of the middle school hot shots seem to have personality disorders. So imagine the pre-allo forum with only ten participants.

There are a couple of cool, semi n00b-friendly threads like a word association one (although I've still been flamed in there). They also play different variations of werewolf or Mafia, whatever the H that is.

The Lounge is, in one word, bizarre.
 
Ya I actually went in one night and was about to post but I felt like I was crossing over into the dark side so I dint.

Cougar, you're a mod. If they ignore you can't you just ban everyone?

You're lucky if they ignore you.

In spite of the fact that pre-allo can be a major ****show at times, it has much more positive vibes than the lounge.

Haha sometimes it's baffling, but overall I'm actually enjoying it (masochist?). Gen chem and physics are what make my soul cry. And thank you!
 
I can't believe that thing hadn't fallen off already. It took effort to keep that foot intact while also not caring for it.
