I was wondering how many of you guys have C's on your transcript and if you think it will hurt your application?

That was my first year and I'm starting my second year now. Is it possible for me to even consider going to dental school with horrific grades like those? Can I work my arse off the next 3 years and apply or would I still be in a bad situation?
Edit/ general chem- two C's and one D (I retook a class), life science- 2 C's.
I haven't taken my o chem or 2 life science classes.

I have my share of C's too. However, I transferred to a different school and got my act together the last one year and a half. Most of all, a strong showing in the sciences for the DAT will basically show the adcoms that you learned from your mistakes and now have what it takes to study.MarioMatty said:I was wondering how many of you guys have C's on your transcript and if you think it will hurt your application. I have 4 C+'s two in both semester of Organic Chemistry and Analytical Physics. I probably should have done better but I took 20 credits both semesters (12 of which were science classes) and I was a resident assistant, working about 20 hours a week, and the president of my fraternity. I have taken a ton of upper level science classes and done well to try to show I can excel in the sciences. I took cell biology, genetics, 7 credits of biochem, 5 credits of molecular biology, immunology and my DAT TS was a 20. What do you guys think?
