I got a kitten recently, and I named him MCAT. Is that funny? Or just really, really sad...?

I'm amused 🙂

sad, but M cat could stand for mr. Cat, and that is pretty funny. You could call it Mr. Cat, and if some ever dropped the salutation, you could get all mad and say... It's MR. cat, thank you very much.

you could always call him "M", the cat...say that its in the tradition of James Bond...😀

I'm sitting at my desk at work right now laughing out loud....MCAT is hilarious!!! I am laughing I think because I wish I would have thought of naming my cat that too!!!! Haha.....

I'm laughing...at your expense (it is a little sad)...but laughing nonetheless

I know someone who went as the MCAT for halloween. Best costume ever - cat ears, whiskers, and tail, with a giant M on the chest.

Mr. CAT?

hehe

Now THAT is funny.

What is even funnier is that us pre-med geeks think it's really funny while most normal people are probably like, whatever...

MCAT is very manageable most of the time, but occasionally he just decides to bite me for no reason. He's very verbal, and mostly organic. 😉 Sometimes I'm thankful he's around, but sometimes he just makes me want to pull my hair out. Sort of like the real MCAT...

As spring approaches, MCAT may become more and more of a pain in the neck, but after April, you'll hardly notice him. Then when you're applying, he'll but into every decision you make.

did u take the MCAT and do good on it?? then it would be gr8!..but if u didnt do so good...then it would be depressing to hear that name over and over again🙂

You should rename the cat. Otherwise you'll be kicking the poor thing before this process is over with.
agreed!

I think DrYo is dead on.

I haven't taken it yet- April is the time- but I'm a post-bacc so I'm in a linkage track where I just need conditional acceptance and then a 27 on the MCAT to start in August. He's just an Mkitten now.

Perhaps if I do get it, I'll have to get MCAT a friend- Step 1.

yah poison!!!!! hahahah

I don't think it will be as funny when you're 30...but who am I to criticize cat names? One of my full-grown cats is named "baby kitty".

i think that's a perfect name for a cat. i called all 3 of my family's cats mmmmmmmmmmmkitties for months. i love the mcat halloween costume idea too! wow i feel really at home here sometimes. 😍

Okay, I thought the name was really funny- but i am a big geek. My husband, not medically oriented at all, thought it was hysterical. 👍

i think its pretty funny
