Hello everybody, I'm pleased to find your forum.
this is the first time I post here, and I'd like to know which is best for the first year of residency in General Surgery The Mont Reid Surgical Handbook OR Oxford handbook of clinical surgery
😕. I'm in need for your advice.
Lastly, I'd like to thank every member shared his experience in that big forum which I think will take me long time to browse all these helpful topics.

Check out that link above. It is a very similar thread to what you are asking.

I was in between Mont Reid, Washington Manual, and Baby Sabiston. I decided to go with the Washington Manual of Surgery. So far so good....but I can't tell you exactly why I did.....I guess I just did.

I cant comment on the Oxford Manual of Surgery. Dont know anything about it.

Good luck and welcome!

Mont Reid is a solid text. I have the old edition and used it during in-house call. I haven't checked the new edition out.
