Seeming that I believe most schools require that you deposite within 45 days after an offer is made (Jan 15th), is there a particular day that schools will send out a second round of acceptances or is this all subjective to each school? February 1st comes to mind for some reason.

I think most committees meet again on or a little after Jan. 15th, so I guess it just depends on how long it takes them to make a second round of decisions...I would guess that we could expect to hear from schools a week or so after the 15th...

I think it kind of depends on the school. Predents is probably your best indicator of approximately when the second round gets sent out at each particular school.

It depends on the school. A few accept their second round on Jan 15th, and a few meet that day and wait a week or so. But there's pretty much a dead time between Dec 1 and Jan 15. So best of luck to all of you waiting for round two hopefully it is better than round one. Also if you don't get accepted by Feb 1 or if you haven't been interviewed by Jan 15 it's time to start looking for a plan B. The cycle is far from over but you don't want to be lost come graduation. Getting into an SMP was a big relief for me last year, at least I had something.

For those looking at plan B here's a good thread to start:

Right on. Good luck all.

I think this is pretty accurate.
