PPL what do think about this new system
having 0-1-2-3 as marks instead of the old one: 75%-55%-35%-0%.

and oh yeh, i heard that the uni is dealing with GPAs system as well and will be run for the full 5 yrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!😕
Any comments?

p.s i really wanna know what is the use of having the student council if the uni is taking these kinds of decisions without asking us / students?😡

is it a 0-1-2-3 system, or a 1-2-3-4 system like a normal GPA system? I personally think it makes a lot more sense and is more understandable than the first/seconds/pass/fail system that correlates to the 75-55-35-0 one.

next time you have a student council meeting, make sure you tell your class reps or whoever sits on it to voice disappointment and a bit of anger that students are not being consulted in this regard. However...i do think that move kind of makes sense.

harder?! I think it'd be easier. Few enough people reach over 70 anyway (at least at my university). At least this way it may be less subjective and more concrete as to what the requirements would be to reach a certain mark.

coz now, we can descriminate between the ppl that can got more than 70% in the old system >>> Remember, now 100 is approachable..... so say hello to competition > i hate this 🙁

We need to have some kind of communication/ linkage between the student council in bahrain and the one in dublin .... i mean, most of the time we don't know what is going on there ... we just get the final results of their decisions and that is over.
so, i was wondering, is there a kind of forum where we can meet these incharge students or smt.

That needs to be discussed in your student council meetings...find a contact with the bahrain school and set up a website or something. Bebo/Facebook/own website. Using something like facebook would probably be the easiest

Well, am not sure which system i prefer but the old system had a benefit for the average students but in the new system they have to work more harder to get a 2 than they did to get a 55% earlier 👎 ... but it helps the above average students as they can now look to getting a 100%... 👍
