Hi,

Has anyone taken the naplex from November 5th to November 9th? If so, post what you thought of the exam, topics encountered etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just took the CPJE & am taking the naplex in 10 days I am looking for a study partner, I have excellent notes and charts from a crash course. Email me if you would like to study. [email protected]

Hi Everyone,

I gave my NAPLEX on the 6th. I haven't gotten my results yet. I studied from AHPA and Prontopass. Also did questions from A & L and Manon Sharoff questions and on book and CDS.

Well, I had a lot of profile.... actually, 75% was profiles. I got about 20 calculations... ranging from meq, isotonicity, steady state. I also got a pvalue question which I wasn't sure about and a weird AUC and absolute bioavailability question. I thought AHPA is the book to run down throughly and ofcourse PRONTOPASS... I wouldn't have felt comfortable without doing the PRontopass charts and the last minute review.. Actually, I have about 15 questions, straight from the last minute review and the Top 200 brands from prontopass charts was a lifesaver. I recommend anyone taking NAPLEX to study them!!!

I will be getting my results...please keep your fingers crossed for me!! I gave my law two weeks back and passed... I just have this and I am done!!!!

Good luck to everyone and write me if you have questions!!!

Hi Shekhar

My name is Taruna. I live in AZ. I am also studying to take the Naplex next week. I am studying Pronto Pass as well. I have not studied APha at all.. and just kept focused on Pronto Pass because Buzz said to put all other materials away. Is that ok, will their materials be sufficient to prepare me for the Naplex? How about the Math, is prontopass's math good enough to solve all of their math questions? Can you please give me some topics that I should really focus on when I study my materials one last time. Thank you I really do appreciate your help.

Again, Congratulations on passing your exam =)

Hi Shekar,

Did you study the Q-bank from ProntoPass? and whether if you find it helpful or not? Thanks

I did not study from Pronto pass Q bank. I found the charts, maths and last minute review more than sufficient. I concentrated more on AHPA though... After going through the paper, I think if you have studied pronto pass throughly, you should be okay... Just concentrate on what you have learnt from and don't worry... It is okay!! Oh Yes, the pronto pass is a great reference, don't forget to do them!!!!

I recently just passed "new" NAPLEX last week. The exam was not that bad if you study the right materials, and have a good sleep on the day of the exam, then you will be fine. I also want to sell study materials that I used for study. I post these material for sell at: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/forumdisplay.php?f=6

Good luck

Hi All,

I just came across SDN forum....very interesting and encouraging to see people unknown to each other advising and sharing their Naplex experience.

I just got my Naplex (that I took beginning of November) result which broke my confidence and probably my faith with the "New format Naplex". I thought after doing over 50 calculations I would have passed. I had got lots of ques. in TPN, IV dosing and Calories calculations which were not my strongpoints.

I gather that some say, just by studying Apha and Kaplan one can pass Naplex!!! I did study both (also did Manan Shroffs Calculations) but still did not Pass my 1st attempt. Wonder what went wrong.

Would request guidance as to what strategy I should adopt to clear this hurdle, as I have completed all formalities incl. MPJE.

Thanks...😎

FYI...the NAPLEX does not have a new format. It is the same type of test with just some new questions thrown in. I studied the APhA book and found that to be sufficient.

You make it sound like that the calculations were your undoing on the NAPLEX. The only advice I would have is to get the book Pharmaceutical Calculations by Ansel and Stoklosa. You don't even have to buy the newest edition. If those guys haven't covered pharm calculations then I dont know who would.

Good luck

Is it common not to pass the NAPLEX on the first try? If so, is there a limit on how many times you can take the exam in one year? Thanks!

I passed ... just got the letter today ... yahooooo 👍
