So now that results are back, how are people studying for the next one.? 🙁I gather its going to be in MARCH? WHAT ARE WE DOING PEOPLE????????
Also, is there any really good practice EKG books, I guess I'm supposed to be a pro by now. Besides Dubin, i havent done much else... HELP!

Im no genius but I did ok on my ITE. I recommend reading Morgan and Mikhail cover to cover. Also try to answer board questions from retired exams. As an intern I was 3 points shy of passing.

The Only EKG Book You'll Ever Need by Thaler is a very good book. It's an easy read, good images and covers pretty much everything.

I like Dubin, but it can be a snoozer at times.

There are a ton of online EKG and ACLS sites to build your interpretation skills.
Also, eMedicine.com has a (free) subscription that will email you an EKG every week.

Happen to have a link to the emedicine EKG subscription? I cannot seem to find it on their site?

Oh, really? and what was the passing score?

I was told by my PD that the passing score was a 32. I scored a 29 3 shy of passing.

Based on historical data, you are correct. Now that the ITE is separated and scored differently than the board exam, it is not for sure that this holds true ( although I suspect it probably does ).
You state that you are no genius, but if that is your score on the ITE at the intern level, I bet you are in the high 90's on the percentile chart. I would also bet that you got over 245 on step I & II of the USMLE. Am I right? Those kinds of scores don't usually occur in isolation (in my experience).

I actually had 230's for one and two. I studied HARD intern year lots of reading and some review questions. I also had a bit of a chip on my shoulder too. And the percentile is 97th percentile. Also at my program we start as interns in the OR around december. I will repeat it can be done and I am no genius. Im sure Amyl can vouch that I am no genius. I hold the philosophy that any test can be beaten with hard work.
