Hey everyone! I've been reading this board since before the 7/8 exam and it has been great sharing the journey with all of you, even though I was only lurking. It's been a huge roller coaster ride for all of us and I'm glad it's over.

7/8/2010 35S 12PS,11VR,12BS

Averaged ~33 on Kaplan FL's and ~32 on AAMC's, but really picked up on the last 2 AAMC's (#9 and #10) so I guess I was on a roll.

I'm still reeling because I was convinced I bombed when I left the exam, what an awesome surprise. Time to send in all the secondaries I've been too afraid to submit these past few weeks.

Congrats everyone on getting through this! 👍😍

32Q
PS-10
VR-11
BS-11

This is what I was averaging on AAMC practice tests, and it's "good enough" to get me in somewhere combined with EC's. I know it's not amazingly high, but I'm happy with it. Mostly I am just SO relieved that this process is over!!!

Congrats to all who have done well!

I made a promise that I wouldn't check until after work, and it's flippin' agonizing :xf:

28Q: 9,9, 10. with a 3.5

I already sent in my AMCAS and was about to start my secondaries, but now I have no idea what to do. Should I even bother applying with a 28?

P13, V11, B14, 38... L?? L!!

i'm really not sure what to feel about the L. please please tell me i don't need to retake.

essay writing's always been my strong suite... i guess my examples were too hypothetical, i really have no idea. roofers started doing construction work and banging away above us midway through the verbal, didn't stop until after my essays. maybe this contributed...

did my own version of SN2's plan, by the way, plus a ton of khan academy videos. khan's getting a fat donation.

OMG... OMG.... I got a 32!!!!!!! VR 11 PS 10 BS 11 I can't believe it, shows that four weeks is enough to bring it up if you worked hard but learn to relax.... I went up FOUR POINTS!!!

Congrats ArmyWife06! I took it 4/23 with you and also got the same score the first time around - I remember our chats via PM! I took it on 7/16, hopefully I can do as well as you did! Congrats once again! You're officially done with the MCAT beast!

32P not ecstatic nor morose. 10 v 10 p 12 bs. Considering i thought i bombed it. it was good esp the bs. 3.55 with a 3.28 scGPA and a masters degree. I hope this will fly. Was secretly hoping for a 35. Congrats everyone.

11 PS, 11 V, P, 13 BS (35P)
This is the average of my AAMC average, though I should have done way better on PS, which I usually average around 13 (WTF, I got too nervous, couldn't concentrate till verbal section started, which I usually don't do well, 7, 10, 10, 9, 10)

AAMC average:
34, 35, 36, 35, 37

I can't believe they can't give me a higher score for writing. I wrote Dwyane Wade resigned with Heat. No appreication.

Good luck to all of you guys.

I think it would be really fun to see how the dates for test score release coincide with the rates of people signing up for retakes. I've just registered for the sept 11th test, Glen beck is going to be in town that day, so I've got something to be angry at after the test, so that's nice.

July 8th: 11 PS, 10 VR, 11 BS W: R

This was my second time taking this test. I took it two years ago, Jan 2008:
9 PS, 10V, 11BS WS: S

I never took a class and only studied for four weeks for each of these test sessions. For those of you retaking, be sure to take as many AAMC tests as possible. Particularly # 7-10. Then, IDENTIFY YOUR WEAKNESSES AND FOCUS ON IMPROVING! I think people get so caught up in a study schedule that they neglect prioritizing the subject matter. Look at your AAMC breakdown and figure out where you need work--for me it was Gen Chem and Physics. Study, study, study until you are getting in the 90th percentile or higher. I can't attribute my two point increase in PS to anything else. I was getting 33-35's on practice tests, but I'll take a 32! Good luck to everyone retesting, and congratulations to those of you who were successful this time around. Thanks for the support!

I seriously HATE VERBAL. Way to make my beautiful 12 on BS look like crap because I have a 7 on verbal. This is my second time taking it too.. and I practiced soo much 🙁🙁🙁

I got PS: 12 VR: 11 BS: 12 WS: O

do you guys think i should retake to boost my writing score?

Thanks ahead of time for any feedback.

07/08/2010 v11 p12 P b12 35P
08/14/2007 v10 p11 P b10 31P

did the examkracker for a month before hand, pretty excited.

1st time: 27O

This time: 31Q!!!!!

So happy, seriously...this just solidifies my app 😀
If you didn't get the score you wanted this time, don't worry! See? There are re-takers that do better the second time!

Good luck to everyone with apps!

So this is my first post on here. I've been reading these boards for a while, but just decided to join now that I know I'm competitive for this cycle. VR-15, PS-11, WS-O, BS-13, 39O. Congrats to everyone, and thank goodness for the MCAT being over! 🙂

Nice job on the verbal, and overall really.

35Q

PS: 13
VR: 11
BS: 11

So relieved it's over. I did one month of studying with Kaplan premiere, EK audio osmosis, and all the AAMC FLs. Wish everyone the best!

All of you retakers must have contributed with your high scores to a low curve😀

I guess the lesson is, the later you take the exam in the year, the more retakers there are; determine experienced veterans.

for what its worth

Overall: 28L

I cannot believe I got an L! I was pretty confident walking out of the writing sample, and I'm almost certain something had to be screwed up. Perhaps I just choked it up, but generally I am a pretty good writer!

Is this a score worth applying with? Also, is there any way I can get that writing score double checked? Jeez.

36 M: P13, V10, B13

Should I be worried about the essay score? This is actually my second time taking it and the last time I got a M too 🙁

Still have not checked mine. At work for four more hours!:scared:

I don't know how you folks at work can resist checking it. I would rather be depressed and angry all day than be anxious, antsy, and have the unknown score looming over my head.

i'm glad there's more than just me. i wasn't expecting a T or anything but i figured we'd have to insult the reader's mother for something that low. i saw a claim that someone choked and only wrote a single sentence for one of the essays and walked away with an N. yeesh. i submitted a question from the THx website to ask if there could have been technical issues with the receipt of my essays, but i'm not going to hold my breath on this one.

I seriously hate verbal! Man o man! I studied so hard...oh well, I'm gonna hopefully rock the 09/02 exam! 🙂

Honestly, right? An L is a joke, I thought, but it is a heartbreaker for sure. In all seriousness, I think my essays may have been written too conservative.

I'm going to submit a question as well, good idea.

In retrospect, did you guys feel like it was really that much different than AAMC 3-10 or did nerves just make you feel that way? It seems like almost everyone hit their averages. Congrats guys 🙂

Both times I've taken the MCAT I've been below my average, AAMC 10 seems to be the closest to what I got on the real thing. However, the real MCAT is tougher than the AAMC exams, that's why I liked taking the kaplan tests, I feel like it prepared me better than the AAMC as far as not being in complete shock when I sat for the real thing.

I am from club 08/05/10 and am hoping for the great results here today...congrats to everyone, well done!
My question is if anyone really comes out of the exam believing that they totally bombed it, yet score in the 30's. I found the exam ok, but did not feel 100% on a great lot, and since then, I keep rethinking questions that I may have gotten wrong. I really wish I had a better feeling.

The best advice I have for you is just to let it go. After my test I knew there were some that I got wrong, but I just let it go. I still got a 33S so a few questions you think you got wrong is not worth worrying about.

Hey Guys. Its been a long day, not too upset but very dissapointed.

31R - 10(P) 12(V) 9(B)

Wasn't sure what to expect. Thought I got owned on physics and ended up getting a 10. Definitely got owned on bio. I seriously expected a 15 on Verbal because I thought I had gotten everything right and even checked each one. The curve on verbal must have been brutal. Considering taking 9/11

My AAMCs were 28-32 so I guess this was expected and I drank the evening before (8AM test) and had 2 hours of sleep. We'll see. I may retake, may not. I wish the writing counted for something, 85-94th percentile. I don't understand how my bio is so average.

Yes but my last 3 were 31, 32 and 34 and a broken up 36 in which I didn't take consecutively. I was hoping atleast 33 considering I thought I did well on verbal. Maybe I'm delusional.
