Alright folks.... just thought it's about time to start one of these for the California School of Podiatric Medicine. Log in and let everyone know if you're coming next fall (2009)! Oh, and CONGRATS TO ALL AS WELL!! 😉

Congratulations to everyone that has been accepted. I will be attending California School of Podiatric Medicine in fall 2009. Looking forward to meeting the class of 2013!!!:soexcited:

Oh YEAH!! Congrads JD! See you next year! 😀

Hey all! I am sending my deposit to CSPM but not + about attending yet.

Anyone have info on the construction/demolition that will happen and when? I understand the dorms are coming down but was told there would definitely be a place to live that was affiliated with SMC (apartment complex).

Just go accepted last week. pretty sure about going. will be sending in my deposit. See you all there!🙂

+1 👍👍 😀

Hey all, not sure if you guys knew but I was told the dorms would be closed in May/June 2009. Samuel Merritt College is most likely buying out/leasing an apartment complex near the campus. Should be awesome overall and way better than the dorms. I believe it will allow for families too (doesn't affect me but it matters a lot to some).

i have called 3 times with no reply so i doubt you or anyone else knows but will these apartments be in a SAFE area...recently i have been thinking about where in the bay to live and i know oakland is really really dangerous on the poor flat parts...i know the campus on pill hill is REALLY safe as are the oakland hills but i just hope this new apartment complex is going to be not only in a safe neighborhood but also NOT CLOSE to an unsafe neighborhood...:scared:

Don't be such a tenderp*ss. I'm sure that SMC is researching these things extensively and will not stick students in the middle of the ghetto. If this was the case, you would have very few students wanting to live there! (especially those with families). You have to be reasonable man. There is nothing finalized yet but we should know for sure in December/January. I believe the new place will be right down the street from campus, which is still in a good part of Oakland.

you dont live in oakland i have family that has either lived there, is living there, or lives within 10-20 min drive of there and trust me some places are nice but they are CLOSE to a bad part of town which is crappy so i dont know yet but obviously they would be taking these things into account i didnt think id have to mention that hence its implyed by sheer common sense...but in any case i was told they will be anywhere from 600-750ish a month for a 1 bedroom so that is a STEAL considering a nice clean place in castro valley or berkeley for a 1 bedroom is ~1100-1300

I'm coming! Congrats to everyone! I can't wait to meet you guys!!!

got accepted a couple weeks ago! i'll be there...havent sent my deposit in but will be doin that shortly! see you all soon......
