Well, here's mine


So i have a science GPA of 3.0 and overall GPA of 3.0

My DAT is:

AA - 20
PA - 19
QR - 19
RC - 23
Bio - 21
GC - 17
OC - 18
TS - 19

i have over 600+ hours of shadowing 3,4 dental specialists at dental hospital
i've graduated from a dental assisting school which lasted for 9 months every weekday from 6:30 to 10:30 pm PLUS 150 hours of clinical externship. i have certificates in x-ray radiology, coronal polishing, CPR, and HIPPA training

Not hoping for much... just trying to help filter all those threads people post about their *chances* all into one thread. The stats page is for a specific cycle, this isn't. There are many people that are in the middle of their prereqs, or just starting, that post their stats, so why noy have them all together?

If this thread doesn't jump off, oh well. I'll continue to try new ways to help others.

GPA is a little low, you DAT scores are good, and you have great ECs.

Ok, I'll venture this, just out of frustration that all the schools seem to have mysteriously lost my transcripts - which were sent by AADSAS! Argh! 😡 (sorry, just had to vent)

These are my stats:

gpa: 3.89, science 3.80

AA - 24
PA - 18
QR - 22
RC - 29
Bio - 23
GC - 23
OC - 21
TS - 22

I volunteered at a dental clinic for ~60 hours. Very bad, I know

Assuming you have lost transcripts, then your file would be labeled as "incomplete." Perhaps this is a reason you have yet to obtain an interview. Just a guess...

i just get this aweful sinking feeling as i anxiously haunt the mailbox, my inbox and my voicemail and day after day, nothing comes... the logical side of me tells me i'm just being overly paranoid, but then i read about how there are so many applicants this year - and that one's chances of getting in after dec 1 drop dramatically - and that there are evil gremlins carefully removing vital application material from my files in various schools - and my heart fails me.

also, i'm not a very patient person, and these bouts of enforced inactivity (well, besides mail-haunting and compulsive email-checking) are enough to drive me to chocolate or excessively long, annoying posts. currently, both 🙂

I started about four months before the exam, and then turned hardcore the day after my finals and studied for six straight weeks.

Yes, your stats are great, and yes, you'll hear from schools, and yes you'll probably start dental school in the fall. It's only natural to bite your nails and fret over your future when you place yourself and your future before the gauntlet that is applying to dental school. You'll make it! Best of luck 🙂
