**** The Official LSU Class of 2019 Interview/Acceptance Thread ****

It's New Orleans why would u do a thing like that?? Haha I'm just messin. But confirm via email, best way to get in touch with dr. Cheramie.

You'll be there from 7am to 3:30 ish and busy the entire time with the other applicants. In my opinion it may not be conducive to bringing a guest, but like the others have advised go ahead and email Dr. Cheramie so you can find out from the source.

Make sure you practice chalk with a sharp knife. Also they made us carve it blindfolded so be prepared!

Got an invitation to interview on October 17th! Anybody else?

I'm a non-traditional reapplicant, with a few years of volunteer work and high school teaching experience.

Amazing DAT! Good luck!

Thanks!

I'm really curious about how this interview group falls on the timeline. In last year's cycle October was pretty late. Anybody have any idea? Good luck to everyone!

I'm starting to worry.... I am an in-state first time applicant. my stats are a 3.5 overall, a 3.2 science gpa, and
DAT:
AA: 21
PAT: 23
RC: 26
TS: 20

I haven't received an interview invite. I know my sGPA is a little low but I have a lot of extra curriculars and I thought my DAT might balance out my GPA.... is anyone else in this boat?

I'm afraid interviews may have concluded for LSU, quickly (Today) apply to other schools as well. Not trying to bum you out, you can always email Dr. Cheramie, he's honest and a great guy.

With your stats, you should have gotten an invite. Be sure to check your spam/junk folders (my invite was in my spam folder). Did you get/send your secondary app? Did you check up on it? If you didn't receive an invite, it may be due to an incomplete application, unfortunately.

I applied on the first day AADSAS opened and sent in my secondary application the day after I received it! 🙁 I emailed Dr. Cheramie a month ago. He told me I was considered competitive and all applications are under review but I haven't heard anything since...

Submitting your letters of recommendation are crucial to landing an interview. Did you do this early on? I know Dr. Cheramie wanted those letters prior to inviting for an interview.

My committee recommendation was sent the first week in July. I emailed him today and he said the last interview invites are probably going out this Thursday.. Fingers crossed I guess :/

Okay good, then you still have a chance. Keep your head up! It's a stressful process but it's completely out of our control what schools decide, best of luck to you!

Unfortunately the email never came today. 🙁 hopefully it works out for me next year. Good luck to everyone else!

I just graduated from Undergrad-with a 3.8 gpa, and my DAT score is a 22TS 21AA and 23PAT
Born in Lousiana, however I changed my residency-Does that affect my chances of getting into LSU? I have not received an interview invite yet.

Most schools considered an "instate" applicant to have lived in the state of the school, reg. drivers license, anywhere from a year up to 3 years. How long have you changed ur residency and where is it now?

Last interviews are tomorrow, unfortunately. If you haven't heard back yet then you won't.

Hey Everyone,

Just found this... I interviewed August 15th, and I'm dying for Dec 1 to be here already!!

Hope to see you all soon. Fingers Crossed...

This waiting game is not fun! I remember that Dr Cheramie told us they will send emails out on the morning of Dec 1st, right?

Anybody knows how many applicants were invited for interview?

Good luck to everyone!

Supposedly in the past the email goes out at midnight. For sure it did last year. So Sunday night at 12(Monday morning technically)

And I believe they interviewed around 100. I know it was less than any other year.

I'm enjoying the not studying/carving, but SO ready for Dec 1st!

I know there were 10 total interview groups. Mine had 12, but I'm not sure if all groups were as full.

Thanks for this information, geauxdds. Then, I would assume that 120 applicants, 30 OOS and 90 IS, were interviewed. Good luck!

Yeah maybe there were 120. I know they said that this year they were doing less but that could have changed. Either way lets hope for the best!

112 or 117 (I know it's one of these #s but not sure which). Anyways I can barely sleep at night because Im so anxious to get an email. Crazy thing is they decide If u are in or not before u leave the building!

I've had a status change on AADSAS. It no longer says, "Invited for Interview"; it now says "Please check back on December 1 for more information regarding your decision status with this school"

Good news I hope!!!

Please let that email come at midnight... win, lose, or draw, I just want to know!

UCONN changed to "Check back Dec 1st" a few days ago. Located at the bottom.
