Quality Points are the number that you divide by the total number of credits you've taken - and the result is your GPA (if total number of credits, then it is your cumulative GPA)
Here's how it works: If you make an A in a 3 credit class, then the A is assigned a numerical value of 4, and your quality points is 4*3 = 12. If this is the only class you EVER took, then your GPA is QP/tot # credits = 12/3 = 4.00 GPA.
