I'm in. Rejected from 6 last year and only 1 interview. What makes me different this year? Volunteering at a student run dental clinic, increased DAT to 20AA/19TS/19PAT, taking a few more classes (doesn't really help my GPA though due to high number of science credit hours already taken), continued to shadow generals and specialists, and applied to a more realistic group of schools - UNC (state school), UMaryland, Louisville, Nova, Creighton, Marquette. Hopefully the 2nd time is the charm!

Maybe apply to more than 5 schools. All privates and a handful of state schools known to take alot of out-of-staters. Thats about 12-13 schools minus the wiche(and similar) schools and the highly competitive private schools.
