****The Official SIU Class of 2017 Acceptance Thread****

I just received an interview invite as an out of state applicant. I am very surprised since they do not accept hardly any out of state, would you guys suggest going to the interview? Also I feel like it is fishy that it took so long to get one as they had received my application in september... any opinions?

Has anyone recently heard from SIU? I'd venture to say that, by now, most of the seats have been accounted for. My status still remains where it was on Dec. 3rd - "Received/Application Complete." My hope is dwindling for this cycle and I'd really like to get some feedback on where I need to make improvements before I have to gear up and put money out for next cycle...

I called a week ago. She said they wouldn't get the second half filled until end of April. And, they only meet once a month. I'm in the same spot, but who knows until you get an official rejection. I knew a girl who got her acceptance in May. I'm assuming you're in state?

Yes, I'm in-state. The wait is brutal, especially if we have to wait until the end of April. If they actually said that they have half the class to fill yet, then I feel better. When I've called, she has just stated that they are still admitting on a rolling basis and will continue to do so until May. Best of luck.

Had everyone who had been accepted just seen a change on their aadsas or was there an email or phone call also telling you you were accepted?

Hello,

I'm a prospective dental student very interested in applying to Siue in the near future. I would like to know from anyone who has been accepted, attends the school, or has attended the school in the past what gpa, bcpm (science gpa), and AA DAT score you got into the school with. Also what other perks did you have on your application? Thank you!

- Meg
