Congrats to everyone who got in! I am guessing nobody who interviewed November 25th has heard back yet?

I'm in too! My status changed to "offer made" as well. Anyone get a call from Kathy Craig?
 
No call or e-mail yet for me. Just the AADSAS portal.

YAY!!! I set my phone on the highest ring tone setting... but still missed the call anyway. :smack:T-T But Kathy left a voicemail! AND YES, ACCEPTED!!!

Hey tbond5, I interviewed the same day as you! I'm in the same boat. Status didn't change and I didn't hear from them yet either. Luckily, I have heard back from another school that was in my top two choices (so I feel less stress about this one). But it would be nice to know! Let me know if you hear anything. Best of luck to you.

Sweet! I'm so relieved. I was afraid they just overlooked me. This is my number 1 for sure but I got my 3 and 4 choices and waitlisted for 2 so i cant complain! Go Huskies!

I interviewed Nov 25! I haven't heard anything yet.. I heard that the committee didn't meet last week because of Thanksgiving. I'm guessing the earliest we'll hear is on Friday maybe.. AAHH I'm so anxious 🙁

I interviewed November 18th and received a notification of acceptance on December 2nd. Wish you the best of luck with your update.
 
Has anyone heard anything lately? Just curious since I interviewed here recently.
 
It has been a really quiet thread...

Just an FYI, deposits were due on the 6th, and adcoms meet every Thursday to discuss applicants. So maybe good news for people tomorrow?
 
Has anyone heard anything from UW? I guess two Thursdays did fall on the days right after big holidays but the thread is really quiet...

Nothing. With about a 150 people being interviewed, does anyone know the ratio of WA to OOS/Wiche applicants being interviewed? It seems that 100+ inverviews would be WA residents when you consider that 85-90% of the class is WA residents. Just curious.
 
According to the 2013 Official Guide to Dental School, last year there were 218 WA applicants, 107 interviewed, and 54 were enrolled. There were 866 OOS applicants, 47 interviewed, and 8 were enrolled - all from WICHE states. Hope that answers your question!
 
So an in state interviewee would have a 50% percent chance of getting in? That's pretty legit!!!

Yup. An overall 25% acceptance chance if you're a WA resident is a sweet deal. 😀 I imagine it would be similar for a lot of other selective state universities.

The seats aren't filled, they're still interviewing. My interview is scheduled for Feb 10th and Kathy told me they interview 'til the end of Feb and then make decisions. She made a point of saying that a late interview doesn't really matter since they specifically still have spots open.
 
I got the call from Kathy yesterday, I'm in!!! It feels so good to get into my number one school :banana:

I interviewed on 1/13.
 
Got the call yesterday as well. Interviewed on Jan 27th. Dream comes true to get into my top choice.

Do we have a facebook page? Someone should get on that asap. Excited to meet future classmates.

Anyone else from Dec. 2 hear back regarding his/her status?

If applicants who interviewed after you start hearing back (but your status hasn't changed), should you assume that you're just still being considered? Or waitlisted? 🙁

I interviewed Dec 2nd as well and no updates so far....
 
Received an e-mail.
The University of Washington School of Dentistry Admissions Committee has now completed selection of applicants for consideration in the 2013-2014 admissions cycle.

I don't know if this message is factual or if it is meant to soften the blow, but regardless I was not selected for an interview. The e-mail also added that about 250 people were asked to provide supplemental applications and about 160 were invited to interview for the 63 available spots.

Congratulations to those who get in! I'm super jelly.
