I'm so pumped! I got an interview today via e-mail. They said that I had "preferred status" and would be given precedent over other applicants because of my previous experience as an automotive technician.

I turned in my secondary app on Tuesday and still haven't heard anything! Does that mean I probably won't get an interview?
 
So...has anyone sent in their supplemental longer than a week ago and not received an interview invite?

Same here. Those of you who submitted the secondary but haven't received an interview - did any of you select 'will upload later' for the optional video? Just wondering if in this case one must upload their video for their supplemental application to be complete and for an interview to be considered? Just thinking out loud.

I submitted the video then and there.
 
Anyone submit last thursday and not receive an interview yet?

i think those that havent received an interview after submitting secondaries (me included) might have a letter of rec issue... did you all have AT LEAST 1 BIO AND 1 CHEM PROFESSOR write letters of rec? Just thinking aloud since I haven't had my Chem prof submit her letter yet and I think that might be the issue

This could be it. I have been waiting for over a week too. I did not have a chem letter as part of my 4 in AADSAS but I got a chemistry prof to send one to them last week so hopefully the office can receive and process them quickly if that is the issue. Anyone else? It is nice to know that there are several of us waiting and we were not singled out 😀

I had a committee letter and aadsas only allows you to submit one additional letter of rec with that so I chose to do it from a dentist i shadowed. I'm on the same boat as you guys so i dont think thats the case.

Still waiting here. OOS applicant. They have received my application but I was put on hold since I retook the DAT 8/26. They received the scores last week but I have not heard back yet.

I had a committee letter also and in that I had a bio and a physics professor along with 2 other letters and i still got my interview invite a couple days after i sent in my supplement in.

The mandatory biology and chemistry letter is only a requirement if you DON'T have a committee letter written for you. My undergrad, like several others, doesn't write committee letters so we need to have both bio and chem letters.

How long did it take you guys to get your supplemental. My application has been under review since 9/9.
 
Has anyone received an interview in the past couple weeks and how long before that did you send in your secondary? I am just wondering if they are doing things differently or got behind the past couple weeks and the interviews are coming later.....ugh

to all of those who did get interviews...good luck!
 
my application was complete on 7/10 with everything in, I have not received a supplement. I have a 19 AA and 3.5GPA as well as a doctorate degree already! I don't understand--do you think this could be a rejection because I've literally heard nothing.

I was first batch. I received the supplemental on 9/13 and sent it back the next day. I received the interview email on 9/20. It was hard waiting since some said their interview email came the same day they submitted their secondary. Hang in there...

I have similar stats and in state. Also a ton of shadowing and rec letters. Every time I get an email, I'm hoping it's a supplemental. I was first batch. Good luck to you. AADSAS still says "Under Review" and not denied, so I'm still hoping.
 
Has anyone recieved interviews this week? I submitted my secondary a week ago and still haven't heard anything.
 
And does anyone know if they have October interview spots left?
 
I got invited on last friday and my interview day is on oct.29th

I got one letter from a biochemistry professor and 1 letter from an ochem professor. Do you think that's the issue? I submitted my supplemental so long ago and still haven't heard anything..I hope my letters aren't the issue.

I am still waiting as well. going on almost 2 weeks now since submission of secondary.
 
It looks like there are some people who haven't gotten any interview invitations after submitting the secondary app. Guys, we'll get the invitation soon I know, because this is my second time to apply and I had gotten a secondary app in March 2013 for the last cycle but I didn't make it. It was for the wait-list. Look, you guys get this in Sept! Don't worry too much.

Invite today for November 13th. I sent my supplementary in on 9/20.

I'll be seeing you there! I'm also tentatively scheduled for Nov. 20th. Really close to the end of the pre-Dec train but I need to call in to confirm. Sent in my supplemental on 9/20.

roughly 2,700 applicants
little under 500 interviewed
they admit a little over 100

purposelly giving very rough estimates cuz it varies every year.
 
those of you who recently got invited, did any of you call to reschedule for an earlier date and was able to?
I just called and they seem to have all early/mid Nov dates filled up?
 
Has anyone here with under a 20 DAT gotten a supplemental or interview yet?? Thanks
