There's a Houston interview invite on the main interview thread. All I've gotten was confirmation that they received my application.

One week notice??? I feel like they're super behind or something...didn't you submit like 3 months ago?😱

So at this rate, I'll be interviewing 🙂luck🙂 in November...well I'd be happy with that.

Yeah, I received my invite 5 days before my interview. It was very short notice, but oh well, what can ya do?
 
Two weeks of crickets. Had Baylor today, SA Monday,...Houston? Heeeeelloo?
 
Hello guys and gals, has anyone gone through the process recently after completing military obligation? I need to find a person who has first hand knowledge with the 911 GI bill and UT. I also want to get the "low down" on your interview experience and if you were accepted, the advice you would give others. Thanks and have a great weekend.
 
What's the outlook for non-state residents to UT schools? Are UT's supposed to be hard to get into?

About 15 spots total out of 300 matriculants for all 3 TX schools combine. Some years there are even less. They can have at most 10% OOS.

Congrats on the interview! Do you mind me asking your stats and when you applied? UT Houston is in the med center and most hotels/motels in the Houston med center should be decently priced and fairly close to the school. Try going to M&M grill for dinner afterwards if you get a chance. Their burgers are amazing!
 
I meet anyone from here yesterday? I heard at least one person reference SDN...what a great school!

Well they interview about 280 people total and I'm going to guess around 180 before December. Their class size is about 100 so with my GUESSES, they probably accept around 150 total through March 1st (due to some people going to other schools) with only 50-60 people receiving acceptances on Dec. 2nd.

I'm extremely nervous 🙁 and am just trying to forget about the whole application process until Dec. 2nd. Just hoping for the best.
 
Probably after January 2nd once everybody has either accepted or rejected their offers
 
I interviewed at UT Houston January 14th, 2014. This is my number one school I want to go to, can anyone give me some idea of when they send out acceptance letters for post December interviews? Any recent stats about the likelihood of acceptance, any info? The anticipation is really killing me. Thanks for your help.
 
Hey, I too interviewed on the 14th, so I can relate - the anticipation sucks! Anyway via the "2014 TMDSAS" thread apparently some acceptance offers were sent out this past Monday the 27th, I also read that, because of bad weather, they have postponed their last interview date until February 11th. Idk if any of this is exactly good or bad news for all of us who interviewed in January, but it did appear as though most offers given out had earlier interviews than ours (though that could just be the students who posted on SDN). Also, looking at the past TMDSAS threads and what Dr. Pierpont explained to us, I know Houston does fill up their seats fairly slow to allow us all an opportunity! So be patient!

Anyways, good luck to you, fellow January 14th interviewer, and let's be optimistic for the future offers of acceptance and the fact that we did get a chance to interview at Houston!

P.S. I know a few students have emailed Dr. Pierpont regarding offers of acceptance (who I hear responds promptly), you could try this to find out when more acceptances might be given out, or how many seats are still available. If you do let us know so he doesn't get too many emails! I have been considering emailing him as well!
 
Has Anyone emailed Dr. Pierpont recently to see when more acceptances are going out? I interviewed Dec 17th and the suspense is killing me!
 
Hey guys, so I did end up emailing Dr. Pierpont and he informed me that they anticipate sending out more acceptances towards the end of February. Looks like we'll be continuing this waiting game a bit longer...

Who did you hear this from? Just curiously since second round already went out and their fb page has nearly 90 people or something.

Some people are on all 3 fb pages and also (going to be) D2 students, so you can't really go by that. From years past the fb pages have been well over 100.
 
Is Houston doing their last interviews on the 11th? If so, could anyone who interviews let us all know what Dr. Pierpont says regarding how many spots are left, when they should be sending out any more acceptances, when they expect to fill the class etc. Thanks!

I'd like to know as well! How'd your guys interview go on the 11th!? And did Dr. Pierpont say anything abt the amount of seats they have left or anything!?
 
from last year's tmdsas 2013 i believe, there were approximately 20 seats yet to fill around this time of the year. of course that was last year's stat. and i am not sure how precise that answer was, but just giving us an idea.

coz i heard this year they don't do batches and sent out fewer seats in the first round so i hope the number for available seats could be higher than 20. and i hope so too.
 
tomorrow is the 20th. I feel like the much anticipated "end of February" is upon us! I'm really hoping to hear something next week! anyone heard anything new?
 
I heard that their last admissions meeting was this week, and that the last batch would go out "afterwards". So im guessing that could be anytime now. Here we go guys! Stay strong!

The last "batch"..

But of course there will be people that decline the offer and they will still need to fill those spots

That I have no idea. If I were to GUESS, and again I am just guessing, maybe around 15 will decline from now all the way up until matriculation?
 
I read last years thread and houston sent a bunch out on feb 28th. That was a Thursday I think. Hang on a little longer guys!
 
I assume that Houston already had their meeting, did anyone hear back from them?
