The part of the brain that regulate heat rate is the ..

a. hypothalamus
b. cerebral cortex
c. cerebellum
d. pon
e. thalamus

The question is taken from Barron (I know the book sucked, but I am still gonna to use for practice 😛). Barron's answer is D.

I thought the answer should be medulla oblongata. Pon acts as a rely center to allow the cortex to communicate with the cerebellum.

I think u and i are in almost the same level in BIO, I am so happy 😀
correct answer should be medulla oblongata. but answer must be porn.
U just need to think that porn and medulla are like...bro.

yeah i got this question somewhere also. I too thought that only the medulla oblongata functions in regulating heart rate. It turns out that the pons, in addition to acting as a relay center for the cerebral cortex and cerebellum, also cooporates with the medulla oblongata in controlling heart rate.
