Hello,
I am currently taking my second semester at a community college in CA and, up until very recently, had no clue which direction I wanted to steer my life in.
I'm seriously considering becoming a pharmacist... actually, as it is the only career I find appealing whatsoever, it's very likely that's what I'll aim for. Unfortunately, I have NO IDEA how to go about getting started on the path to becoming a pharmacist... I'm sure the questions I'm about to ask will seem like no-brainers but, well, I have to get the info somewhere and there is an 11-month wait for a counseling appointment at my school... 🙁
What classes should I be taking? Are there specific courses you're required to take, or do you just sort of take whatever will prepare you for the PCAT?
At what point are you supposed to actually take the PCAT/apply to a pharmacy school?
How much do your grades matter vs. your PCAT score when it comes to being accepted to a pharmacy school?
Maybe one of you kind folks could just give me a very detailed description on how all this is done, because quite frankly I'm clueless. 😳
(Also I apologize if there has already been a post similar to this one, I searched multiple times but couldn't find one...)
