The Personal Statement Length

Hi all,

I know everyone says keep the statement under 1 page. But is this 1 page (size 10 Courier New) with the margins that programs see (0.3" on sides and 1" top and bottom), or typical 1 inch margins?

My PS fits under a page using the smaller margins (how it's printed out on ERAS). Am I ok or should I shorten in further?

See the thread already on this page for the full answer, the 1 page is with the 0.3 / 0.8 margins. And, being slightly longer than one page is not the end of the universe.
