Hi again team,

I'm chugging along nicely in pre-med when struck by something I hadn't considered, I have had very mild Cerebral Palsy since birth which affects my right side. Supernating is tricky, but otherwise, the only real world thing I can't do is use a fork and steak knife at the same time, and I secretly think that's only because I'm not *that* into steak. Everything else in life I've found a way to do.

I broached this very subject with UCSD's med school, the Dean of Admissions told me I would be fine. However, just for my own peace of mind, I'd like to start practicing the physical tasks I'll need to perform just so I can get my strategies down and my comfort level up.

Is there a standardized or general list of invasive procedures that are performed or learned in med school? I'd greatly appreciate the heads up.

Cheers,

GK

Following acceptance, you must fill out a Technical Standards form for each program. This essentially allows you to request or deny the need for accommodations for disabilities or other impairments that might threaten to hinder your education.

You can probably find an example of one of these in PDF format somewhere online.
