Gozer the Gozerian. Likely a wolf. Also, Vigo the Carpathian (my avi).

I've been trying to read up on http://ghostbusters.wikia.com/wiki/Ghostbusters_Wiki
I never watched the animated versions and my memory of the actual movie is slim.

I'm thinking Ivo Shandor and Vinz Clortho are wolves and Slimer is not a wolf from what I can understand on their wiki pages. Not sure which characters where major/minor in the storyline

Ivo was never actually in the films, would expect him to be a character in this.

If Stay Puff was Gozer's form do you think theres a Dana Barrett and Louis Tully? Correct me if I've got faulty sources again.
 
Just a heads up I have 2 CABGs I have to actually scrub for today (yay 4th year? 😡 ). Anyways, won't be able to check much until late afternoon.

So what I was envisioning with fancy (because this is how it worked in my game) is that she was good, but if the wolves attempted to convert her it was guaranteed to work. If this is the case it means there's a fail rate or some prerequisite for a conversion to be successful.

I was under the impression it was a choice type of deal where she chose a side, or it was chosen for her based on what other people did like someone else on here said.

Being 100% convertible implies that later on she could still be converted right (unless there were CUH-RAZY night one shenanigans).

Chose to side with good though makes it look like she chose, begrudgingly makes it seem like she wanted to be a wolf, but for some reason couldn't.

I iz confuzed. Probably overthinking this. True story.
 
A lot happened overnight. Everyone was trying to kill everyone but things started getting in the way. Some had protections from others. Some are hardier than others. And some targeted each other to no avail.


In Manhatten, the people are cheering. Apparently, a ghost on the rampage has been taken down. EC, the people busters has been erased from existence.
It is now Day. Deadline is 9pm.

I don't get how ghosts keep dying at night.
 
Strange game. Could this be a case of no wolf group, just a bunch of killers loose, which would imply a lot more wolves than usual and a lot of protections. Seems to jive with the writeup.
 
I also had an item last night and have learned that ghosts are not (necessarily) wolves, so be careful with sneaky mods. Color coding may not match who are wolves.

A few thoughts I have been having after both night had a killed wolf,

1) what if there are a LOT of conversion characters out there. e.g: Staypuft could be permanently made good if they found Slimer, but if attacked by a wolf, would instantly turn into a wolf.

2) With the number of wolf kills, could we be seeing 2 groups of people with killing abilities at night? Perhaps there are the 4 ghost busters that can kill ghosts at night as long as some requirement is met.

3) It could be that the "wolves" of this game are actually the ghost busters. Their purpose is to kill all the ghosts before the wandering (individual) ghosts kill everyone else. The ghosts may not even know of other ghosts identities or very few of them.

DocE sounds like he has been taken over by FML (see earlier FML posts about Garb...Staten Island). If DocE starts spouting off about buying some Loubs or wearing pink....I think we have a right to be worried! 😱

I know of roles that are plain old humans. More than one. Makes me think the ghostbusters are the real wolves theory, while initially plausible, is not likely. Sure they could use their plasma throwers on humans and slice them like a Christmas ham, but realistically there is no motivation for them to kill vanilla villagers so they are likely not the wolves we seek.

Could there be multiple factions with kill abilities and the longest living one wins? Probably. But I'd imagine humans are allied with ghostbusters then. Perhaps non aggressive ghosts are their own win condition? Idk. Just throwing it out there. Multiple win conditions have been all the rage lately.
 
BTW. I'm totally fine with killing WS whenever. Knowing her role has kill abilities sweetens the pot. So barring someone reaching out to me, I'm totally okay with this.

Also didn't SOV say the plasma thrower was an item that he had. So either he's a ghostbuster, or the ghostbusters don't have this item.

This is exactly what I meant DocE. In a normal game, the wolves have communication ability from the start, are the minority, and can kill at night. So I when I said "wolves" in the context of the Ghostbusters, that's what I meant. The humans while not privy to the GB identities are still tied to their success.

Confirmed that the item is mobile and was not ib ghostbuster posession. Also confirmed that I know who has it now and it shouldn't be moving more.

There is also a PC calculator out there. It detects a persons human or ghost-ly-ness.

Although I don't really know if being able to kill in this game makes someone wolfie - see the two red-coded night kills - as devyn knows, I am /always/ up for lynching WS. 😀

I had the calculator last night and it said lis was not human or a ghost. I gave him a chance to give me some info to clear it up and he said basically go to hell.
Can't think of any good character like that. Could be gozer. Anyway, his complete unwillingness to work with me is the final straw.

FYI I didn't tell him exactly what I found out because I wanted to catch a lie if wolfy.

"a LOT of killing" Perhaps there are people out there who, if killed, turn into ghosts? If not, I am wondering what a lot of killing means if only 2 people actually died.

Given the previous kills, I like this line of thinking more than the WS being bad just because they can kill. Unlynch WS, Lynch LIS

Perhaps, the wording is different though. "there was a LOT" is a definite, but "Everyone was trying" seems less so. Perhaps I am just focusing too much on semantics, I can do that sometimes haha.

Yer damn right I basically said go to hell. Let's be clear: SOV sends me a message saying "I have info on you that's sketchy. Tell me your role or I go public."

That's crap. That's about the most wolfy (and lame) attempt to get info that I've ever seen. The "trying to catch a wolf in the lie" stuff is all good and well, but you've got to give a little to get a little, and your fishing expedition isn't gonna cut it, SOV.

My role is absolutely clear and not in the least suspicious. That said, somebody else "stole" my role last night and I "can't remember" what happened (per the mods) - so perhaps that interfered with wherever SOV got his info from. Or perhaps SOV is a wolf or third party just trying to manipulate people into lynching me.

In any case, I shared the very limited info that I have with WTF. If y'all lynch me, WTF can release that info. But lynching me takes down a villager. My role is one that you probably don't want to lose, but I have absolutely no intention of sharing it on the thread. And, if y'all lynch me, remember to go back at SOV.
 
I have no idea what's going on in this game. It sounds like a LOT of people have killing ability, but there there's also a lot of protection and that a lot of the killing has a % chance of working or something. And maybe those who have a killing ability have to use it? That would explain there being a lot of killing but few deaths.

I don't know, but I am not at all convinced that a killing ability = wolf. So I can't get behind the WS bandwagon. SOV's info about LIS sounds much more suspicious, so lynch LIS.
