Oh. One last comment. I will say this much about my role: I am 100% human. Either SOV is flat-out lying (definitely something he'd do), or he got bad results.

Well let's do it this way. I would prefer to kill WS on principle. I basically confirmed my only worry, that WS might be a *valuable killer*, to be wrong.

Let LIS and SOV have a round to bitterly argue their roles. We kill one tomorrow. For today I see ABSOLUTELY NO reason to not kill WS asap. Even if they are not a red text wolf, they're not the kind of killing power that would be villager-friendly from a purely statistical odds viewpoint. I confirmed they aren't the one useful villager killing role and they don't have the villager kill item.

Also, LIS is definitely trying to make my message to him sound a lot worse than it was ... I said, and I quote "Without telling you details I request you give me more information about your role and I can better interpret the results."

I was actually trying to be cautious as to not make him tell me everything, but give me something that could confirm my info. If you have a role, you should be able to let something out. His "tell me your role or else" tries to make me the villain here, when I was clearly

"I investigated you last night and got a suspicious result. Without telling you details I request you give me more information about your role and I can better interpret the results. I have told one borough member what is going on - in case I am suspiciously killed, but I will keep any info to myself. If you are not forthcoming with info I will just publicly accuse you and make you defend yourself in the open forum."
 
Ok well....that sort of fits with what he told me. I won't say more than that, though. I can see how that sounds suspicious though.

For now, though, I'm going to lynch WS. If we have a "good killer" that DocE claims, and WS is not that person....
 
Sov, vote tour conscience ... but I'll come back for LIS next round. I dobr forget. But controlling the known killer is probably preferential to a shady as hell player who might be just grumpy LIS. Though I encourage whomever gets the calc next to use it on lis again.

I'm comfortable with my interpretation of your message and my characterization of it.

You ask vaguely for info - what would that be other than role info??? - and offer nothing. Go fish.

And, your accusation that I am not human is unequivocally false.

As an aside, I was told many, many games ago that quoting PMs completely wasn't cool, which is why I did not quote you exactly. (Presumably, quoting your own PM is ok.) It has nothing to do with an attempt to distort what you said. I do t think I did distort it.

I think the calculator is wasted to reuse on LIS, whoever is a real investigator (I hope we have one), LIS would be the top of my list.

I still think this is a tricky game because we have a way of telling killers (devyn) but killers are villagers and wolves, and we have a way of telling ghosts(calculator), but ghosts are also villagers and wolves.

This is similar to what I did in Monty Python (and another one after that I can't remember this second)... lots of investigation methods, but the results are purposely not wolf/villager. As a mod I was definitely hoping for wrong lynches off of those investigations....

Where exactly am I being grumpy? Because I refuse to reveal my role because SOV vaguely wants more info without being specific? Lame.

You can "come back" for me if you wish, but it's to the detriment of the villagers.

I'm not shady as hell. That's just SOV's take on his sketchy results. My role isn't remotely sketchy.

This is mod specific.
Personally, I have always allowed it, because anyone can claim they are quoting a PM, you never know if it is true. I certainly did this in the past here and in the lounge, and actually there was a whole controversy in a DocE game where whether or not the bolded part not being included proved that it wasn't from Doc (I think it turned out that he wasn't consistent in his bolding:laugh:, and I looked suspicious because of it)

What is ALWAYS forbidden is to copy in the message that you can tell it came from someone else with the [*quote/quote*] method.

Works for me. Mod wanted waffles, I shall give them. I didn't want WS gone just because of the killing thing but if you confirmed them as not on the villagers side...

There were a lot of ways you could have handled this.. .but the bullsh*t you're a wolf approach was clearly the grumpiest.

I never would think an experienced wolf would be that obvious, because it would be clear where the info came from if it got out. I would have handled it differently than you, but you forced my hound.

I remeber my role in that game. Very frustrating! And took me way too long to realize what my results actually meant after the first one did get a wolf.

Noted, and fair. But you should have offered me <something> that would clue me in that you really had info to verify, and you didn't. Grumpy or not, I did offer you that alternative and you decided not to go that route. Your approach essentially put 100% of the risk of the info exchange on me and 0% on you, so from my perspective the risk:reward meant it wasn't smart for me to give you anything. But literally everything in your initial post was something that could have been made up. I've never gone to someone looking for info without at least giving them a reason to take me seriously. Couple that with the fact that my role is NOT sketchy (compared to what you were claiming) and there's no way I was going to offer anything up.

My only concern is that we haven't heard from WS. I'm always hesitant to lynch a silenced player because they can't defend themselves and it may be a setup.

I only brought the info I got forward for people to interpret....

it would be stupid for me to set up WS this early in the game, really fecking stupid..... end game, last few players (sure who hasn't done it as a wolf), but this early in the game I would screw myself over as a villager or as a wolf.... so no I am not trying to set her up - just offer the info I have....

I was hoping she would come on and explain herself... but so far no dice :shrug:
 
I want to make 1 thing very clear. I'm not promising wolfspeakers going to be read text wolf. I'm promising you that if you treat the game like a math equation (and for balancing purposes it is) there are wolves that kill and villagers that kill. There are basically two types of "useful" villager kill powers, the rest just get villagers killed much more often than not.

Since WS isn't either of the two useful kill types and doesn't have the kill item, I'm very inclined to think WS is wolf. I'm almost certain WS is a detrimental player power if they happen to be blue text or even black.

I dont think their defense will make an difference, but we can wait for it.

So does this mean you can't offer any kind of explanation to the accusations? Boo 🙁 I'm so cautious about lynching people without them having a chance to explain, but the accusations made thus far make sense so unless someone comes out and clears WS, I'm going to lynch WS for now.

I am not a wolf. Yes, I am a ghost. Yes, I have a kill power. Once in the game. Thank you Devyn for outing that. I haven't used it yet, because I don't know who is wolf and who isn't.

And DocE, I don't know where you got your info, but I would double check your source. I am most certainly for the good.

To clarify, I was silenced LAST cycle, right after I posted my thoughts on the N1 writeup. :eyebrow:

I got called into work this morning before N2 results were posted and our internet went down. I just got home and was able to post.

I'd still like to know who silenced me! 😡

Lynch Frozenshades. I had an item last night. He is Walter Peck. Just researched. Walter Peck tried to take out the ghostbusters. Also, he has the ability to shut down the containment unit, which could potentially release the ghosts that we've already "killed." This would be bad, no?

Yet another theory on this. Looks like Fancy had two things sent at her- the proton beam and containment unit- thus more killing than deaths. Just a thought

potentially. It is something to think about. Peck is more akin to an a****** than a villain. but I'd buy him as a villain.

I literally know nothing about ghostbusters. I think I saw the movies, when I was 4. I hadn't had time to research the character and I had no idea who he was, because he was a human and a lawyer it didn't sound bad to me. Just got a few minutes to google and decided my first thought was wrong.

So I'm genuinely curious, what is the reasoning behind still going after WS even thought they have explained themselves and are *allegedly* a good ghost? Is it just to still be cautious or have their actions in previous games just made everyone paranoid?
 
Ugh guys. I have a feeling the WS lynch isn't a good idea. Look at how many red characters have been killed at night. Obviously villagers can kill.

Plus, we ALWAYS lynch WS. Let's break the tradition.
