ahh decision time! ut houston of ut southwestern... grrrr this is hard. not really, i think i'm going with houston. (have pre-match from utsw). i'm just thinking... i'm going to be happier in houston.

i hope to do well on the boards and get to at least the top half of the class... i think i like reserach, but not sure. will utsw really be all that different in terms of reserach opportunities?

i like the houston medical center. and i want to enjoy my life while in med school, and i want a cooperative environment... i'm sure both schools have what i'm looking for.

are the class schedules different at utsw and ut houston? i'm more of an independent learner, not big on lectures. (gasp!) well, its true. i don't think there's been much info on lectures/attendance/online resources for these two schools... any opinions?

Can't comment on UTSW, but I know that UTH records videos of the lectures and then posts them online. A bonus is that you can watch the lectures at speeds of 1.5x or 2x.

at UTSW you have lecture slides and audio (2X speed rocks) posted online for you (MS2s have video). I rarely go to morning class anymore.

well swt prob has more and better quality research opportunities...but then again i could just be biased since im going there..
