The three different types of Evolution

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
convergent evolution is when two different species evolve certain features in adapting to the same conditions. for example, fishes and whales since they both have to adapt to life in the water

divergent is when a single ancestral species become several distinct species, for example a there are alot of different species of snakes that adapted to different conditions and environment

parallel is when animals that descend from an ancestor develop similar adaptations even though they are in different geographic environments.
