  1. Pharmacy Student

There comes a time in a pre-pharmacy student's life when hard decisions must be made. As students, we worked so hard to be where we are in the application cycle and we duly expect to be accepted somewhere and we blindly apply to as many schools as possible to improve chances of admittance. As a nontraditional student, I applied to four schools in my state of Florida. I did not apply anywhere else. I went to a PBA interview and learned that their cost is $30Gs; I left Bradenton interview knowing they cost 43Gs (instate); I hear NSU is about 25Gs/year; that leaves UF.

UF has the lowest unheard cost of attendance, ~14Gs/year. Granted, it is a public school and a renowned one at that, but its cost is pretty enticing. However, UF's cost may not mean much when compared to NSU if I have to rent a place, food and other expenses. So far, no news from UF or NSU. What is a pharmacy student to do?

Bradenton campus is BEAUTIFUL. The dean and everyone else were super nice. I am thrilled at having interviewed and know that I would be REALLY happy to study pharmacy there. The school has maximum security, yet, you don't really feel like your every move is being watched. At night, the campus is so nice. But being in debt ~200Gs vs ~60Gs is such a big difference and I can't stop thinking about UF (mostly) & NSU (local).

Decisions... Decisions.

I want to be a GATOR or a SHARK dammit!

Hey u got Lecom wrong!!! It's less than $19 G's a year, $43 G's is the max you can borrow for tuition and other purposes!! Don't give me a heart attack!!!

i dont know where u get the comparison with UF and other schools. One thing u got right is the tuitions sort of, second if u live in tallahassee the cost would not bring ur tuition to more than 25K. your total cost would run from 16-18K thats why every1 wants to go to UF. Hold your horses though bc UF is hard to get in lol. Lecom is a great school, nova has too many problems with prof. and tuition and PBA is way too religious. So if u get into UF or Lecom then go for it.

Cantw8, I HOPE I'm wrong & much thx for clarifying it! I loved the campus so much and I could hear the other students whispering how beautiful the campus was and that they were ready to pay the $500 check post acceptance. Don't get me wrong, I AM SUPER HAPPY I got an interview. I was dreaming of being a LECOM student and I am still very excited. NSU is only attractive because of its geographic, nothing more. So far I love everything LECOM has to offer. PBA is the least attractive to me for the reasons you mentioned. I hope to hear from Dean Levin soon!!!

I want to be at UF and LECOM BRADENTON dammit!!
