Does it matter if you are waitlisted in the first or second interview rounds or waitlisted in the last interview round in the admission cycle for rolling schools if schools do not rank their waitlist? My guess would be "No" since the admission criteria is the same for acceptance but does anyone think that early intervieews who are waitlisted are given somewhat higher priority. What are your opinions?

I would say no. If indeed they are unranked, then it wouldn't matter. I think when they go through they review all of them and pick the best ones. So if you think your interview went well I wouldn't trip on it.

I would say No as well. Although, I have a hunch that even though the schools call it 'unranked', they do rank you it's just not made available to you. I spoke to an adcom earlier this year and he said they don't give you your rank because the politics and drama that come with students knowing their rank makes for pure insanity.

"Why am I #6? Jason Johnson went to my school and I had a way better GPA, I volunteered more and and and and and he is #3. This isn't fair. Wahh"
