Waitlisted at U of Minnesota (interviewed Jan 11)

waitlisted at MCPHS-Worchester (no interview🙁)

waitlisted at University at Buffalo(not interviewed🙁)

UncertainRx,

Your stats are amazing! Did you get in trouble with the law? cuz I don't see how UB wouldn't interview you with those fabulous numbers.

I wouldn't take a waitlist spot at UB as a rejection at all. Pretty much everyone gets waitlisted off the bat, its their way of "holding" you until they're gotten some interviews done. If you have a waitlist spot right now, you're in very good shape.

Haha did you search my post history for my stats or something? But there was some mix up with my supplemental and they didnt get it until much later than I thought they did. Thats my only guess.

waitlisted at:

MWU-CPG
South
Mercer
LECOM Bradenton

Waiting to hear from 3 more.

This is so frustrating

UH-Hilo

...somehow I feel like I'm the only one on this alternate list of theirs. Boo..

Yeah.. at least, the only one on SDN..🙂
Are you hawaii resident? When was your interview. I haven't heard from them for more than 5 weeks?

I was put on the alternate list for Creighton, but it was a back up choice and I submitted my app 2 days before their cycle ended. 🙄

"tabled" at uh 😕...

i'm just happy i even got an interview to uh...actually, i got 4 interviews out of 6 schools, so i shouldn't complain, especially with my stats...kind of regret not finishing my apps to ut, midwestern-glendale, and mass-worcestor...oh well, interviews are so tiring and money-draining...

Got waitlisted for MCPHS-Boston...sucks but i am still hopeful

got on HIGH ALT waitlist for Touro, CA... n-e-one else in this boat?

Anyone on the alternative list for LLU after the interview? This is so depressing....and I work right across the street too! Well, in the Medical Center, that is.

I got the dreaded W from:
Mercer (interviewed Feb.1)
Midwestern CGP (interview Jan.24)

good luck everyone!

I am sorry to hear that you got waitlisted! Hopefully you will be pulled out of the waitlist. I've heard at Mercer, half the people get in from the waitlist. I was wondering when did you know you were waitlisted at Mercer? I interviewed on Feb 8th and I haven't heard back:scared:. Thanks

I'm waitlisted at ETSU and Memphis and I haven't heard from UACP yet (I should get my letter in the next 2 weeks I hope)....I don't know how I'm going to get through the next months not knowing....I'm about to go crazy already. I may not have perfect stats, but I really want this and I know I would be a good pharmacist....This is the most stressful thing I've ever gone through...

I think you will get accepted, high alt is good for touro because a lot of ppl are going to turn down their acceptance for sure. Trust me I know how you feel...I am waitlisted by 3 schools but finally got into NOVA.

hey tiger07, thank you!! i've been down n depressed b/c of the news and i'm glad there are ppl like you to help a fellow pre-pharmer out!! congrats on getting into nova... 🙂

On the alternate list for Creighton... it's sad to be basically rejected by your backup school...🙄

Yes, same thing. I was on the waitlist for Harvard in high school and got in with a deferred acceptance for next year!

waitlist = alternative list

creighton long distance = alternate pool 👎

dont feel so bad guys. i got waitlisted at 6 schools after interviewing with each school. i know my stats arent that great, but i guess my interview skills suck too. it's so depressing, but i guess all i can do now is to wait...

I was put on the alternate list for Creighton distance pathway, put on the deferred list at South, put on the rolling admissions list at Wingate, reevaluate in May at Charleston, and put on the alternate list at Belmont. Good luck everyone!

Well, I was waitlisted before the interview. If a spot opened up you'd probably have a better chance. I don't know this for sure by the way.

I'm still don't understand this waiting list thing. From my understanding its not really a list and as soon as there is an opening, then they rank everyone on the list. But I don't understand that if you haven't been interviewed yet.

All you guys waitlisted at Creighton- Distance Pathway, did you get a letter or an e-mail? Thanks for any help!

I am currently waitlisted at LECOM! This waitlist thin is hard, but we all have to hang in there together!

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Letter. Good Luck to you.🙂

I was previously waitlisted at Creighton and then got an interview invite for March 28th, so I still have some hope that I can get an offer for admission.

Got my acceptance yesterday for the distance program!

So I got waitlisted at UB AFTER the interview...what's the difference?

Me too got waitlisted at UB after the interview. I think I did well on the interview but my writing sucked that day because I arrived late. Do I still have a chance? I really want to get into the school....

Do you know how they rank everyone in UB? Is it chronologically or merit based? I believe my interview was during the last round. I'd be the last one on the list they would consider if they do it chronologically....

Those on the waitlist at MWU-CPG, I know of at least 3 accepted people who are giving up or have given up their seats. Anybody know if they have gone to the list yet?

Waitlisted at Creighton campus-based without interview

Its not an actual "list" from what I was told. They pretty much have a group of wait listers and when a spot opens, they go back and look at all of our files and then rank us. It seems a little sketchy to me because there are some people wait listed before being interviewed and supposedly they have their interviews in June. This is what Dr. Hess sent me in an email:

<<Why was I wait-listed? The Admissions Committee initially makes decisions to reject, hold, or accept a candidate before or after interviewing them. It is a very competitive application cycle and we have to deny very good candidates and wait list excellent candidates. Those who were initially selected and offered admission excelled in scholastic achievement, aptitude, personal qualifications, and evidence of motivation toward pharmacy. These are judged from the college record, grade point average, the PCAT, letters of reference and evaluation, a supplemental application, and a personal interview. In addition to intellectual and academic competence, the School's Admissions Committee considers communication skills, leadership ability, community service, health care-related or research experience, and motivation for pursuing a career in pharmacy. The wait list status is not a reflection on your qualifications, but is due to the large numbers of highly qualified students who have applied for admission to the University at Buffalo. The University at Buffalo SoPPS Admissions Committee was impressed by your credentials and knows you would make significant contributions to our outstanding community, which is why we would like you to remain on our wait list.
How do spaces in the entering class become available to applicants on the wait list? What are my chances? How many alternates are accepted each year? The number of wait-listed applicants we accept can vary significantly from year to year. Based on the number of candidates rejected or who decline our offer of admission, candidates on hold may be invited for an interview (if they have not been interviewed) and ultimately accepted. Since reasons for declining an admission offer or rescinding an offer are often related to unexpected situations, it is impossible to predict the number of alternates that will be offered admission. While we cannot provide you with information regarding your likelihood of admission, we can assure you that we will work diligently to make admission offers if space becomes available. We anticipate the earliest date that this would occur to be sometime in the middle of May.
Where am I on the waiting list? How soon will I know if I am selected? We do not rank the waiting list. After the deadline has passed for admitted applicants to accept, the committee meets to review everyone on the waitlist to determine who will fill the space(s). The waiting list remains open until the end of August.>>

😍 I was deferred Feb. 27, chosen as an alternate April 2, and accepted to South University April 14. Don't give up hope that you can get an offer for admission!
