The What School of Pharmacy You Go To And What You Like About It Thread

Simply state the school you attend and basically the pros and cons of the school.

Thanks,
All the best!

USC

Football and Song Girls. Both Pros.

What a joke! I can't wait until they play LSU for the championship. The Pac10's a joke; they should try the SEC for a change :meanie:.

LSwho?

LSUx

:meanie::meanie:

Well..USC did try SEC few years back.. decided to play the top dawg in SEC, Auburn, home and away. We beat the chit out of em boff times.

oh btw, for fooball trash talk, take it to the cyclo thread.:meanie:

and LSU owes Texas A&M some money for prematurely terminating a multiyear playing contract...after A&M strung a 5 straight years of arse whuppin on LSU.. :meanie:

I couldn't use a source from 1995 in my pharmacy papers, so get with the 2000's Mr. :meanie:.

Doesn't Auburn kinda own mikey the tiger?
What...uh...huh...??
Anyway, we'll have to get back to this topic during football season 😀. We've kinda taken over another thread :hijacked:.

University of Florida

Biggest Pro: Dominating the country in both major sports; celebrating enough national championships in 12 months where it feels like just another night in Gainesville each time the Gators win one.

And the pharmacy school is OK too I suppose, besides the fact that I despise its administration.

...well, I hope you enjoy it...cause Florida isn't winning another fake title in football or real title in basketball for a while...

Neither will many many other schools.

But to able to say they did it like the way they did, we can just bow our heads and say, Good Job.

Haha, WVU needs to work on defeating the might University of South Florida (Division I for approximately three years) and not finishing third in the Big East before getting within a hundred miles of the Swamp. Until then, keep beating up on Syracuse and Pitt.

Oh, they get all of the props in the world for basketball, that sport decides its champion via a legitimate system that gives every team equal access to the big game.

I give no team any props in football though. It's a sham. Boise State and Louisville had equal claim to the opportunity to play in for a championship game, but got hosed because of how biased and unjust the system is. And my commitment is unwaivering to this, too. If WVU were to win the fake national championship, I'll be the first on here to say its a sham. I would actually be pissed off...and why? Because some guy from some other conference will whine - very justly, mind you - that they didn't get a fair shake at the opportunity to prove themselves. If WVU is crowned champs, I want there to be no question...I want it to be unequivocal...nobody can say **** about it. The way the system is now, God only knows who the best team truely is. I'm CERTAINLY not convinced Florida was last season. The Big Ten lost so pathetically in their BCS games, that it makes you wonder what the hell was what. I honestly think Louisville could have given them a game, USC, too. Hell USC beat Michigan just as bad as UF beat OSU. WVU would have gotten slaughtered in a BCS game last season because the entire damn team was injured (Slaton, White, Myles, Sheffy, Isdaner...and on...and on..), so I'm not going to say they would have given them a game. Hell, they barely beat the sorry ass #2 ACC team. But, anyway, we'll never know who was good.....stupid BCS...

I would have loved to have seen Florida play Louisville and USC last year. That would have been one hell of a series if it weren't for those lame ass Big Ten frauds messing everything up.

I just want a playoff. Then there won't be anymore fake championships. Whoever was the best last year would have risen to the top and there would have been no doubt...

They actually finished #2 in the BE behind Stinkin' Louisville - ranked by Sagarin (whose polls are a sham, anyway....but some people like them) as the #2 conference behind the SEC.

About USF - they are actually a quality team. I don't care if they've been in the Big East 3 years or 20. Their defense is so FAST it is unreal. I saw WVU go up against the best of the SEC in the Sugar Bowl last season - in person...and Georgia and their fabled defensive speed was NOTHING compared to how FAST USF was on defense last year. They have the best Sophomore quarterback in that nation, too.

Though that game was a freak accident. WVU was so unprepared....and I'm not making this up...that during one play, two of the WRs going out for a pass ACTUALLY ran into each other and fell down. It was the funniest and most pathetic thing I had ever seen. The entire game was depressing. The middle of the field was wide open all day, but ol RichRod was stubborn and obsessed with pounding it out off the tackle. Not a good idea with the speedy LBs USF had that are going to be playing on Sundays this fall. This was the week Rodriguez was being confronted by Alabama for their coaching vacancy, too. Maybe his mind was elsewhere, who freakin' knows.

I can't wait to see USF take on Auburn, personally. I'm plunking down some cash on USF to cover the spread if they are given any more than 7 points.

Take off your blinders..Louiville was aight..but not better than UF. UF won the MNC. USC vs UF would have been a better game. There is not enough talent and depth in BE to compete with the likes of USC and UF..

Yes there is.

Case in point, Louisville ran off 5.0 yards per carry last season with their #1 RB injured in week 3. That's TWO backups who carried the load with talent. Their backup QB, Cantwell is also wicked good as he played well in several games with Brohm injured.

WVU is also deep.
At RB you have Slaton, Devine, and Schmitt. At QB, they have TWO backup QBs with game experience, one of which won a triple OT game agaisnt top 15 Rutgers last year. At LB there are literally 7 LBs with enough talent to start this fall. In fact the only real question is at defensive line. If one of those guys fell by the wayside, WVU is likely screwed. Other than that - WVU is two or three deep with legit productive D-1 players at EVERY position.

But, yes, that point is exceedingly invalid, try again. Here's a freakin newsflash. It isn't 2004 anymore. WVU and UL have been bringing in decent recruiting classes recently and are apparently way more deep and talented than you think or are willing to admit.

Do you even get to watch BE games all the way out yonder..?

I still say there needs to be a playoff. If nothing else, it means you don't have to listen to me complain about the system anymore.

Your head is in paralysis over over-analysis 2 good years BE had. You may also think Rivals recruiting ranking is a sham...and it may not necessarily predict future performance due to attrition etc, it's a fairly good way to guage the level of talent a school recruits... both USC and UF finished # 1 and #2 in 2007 with average star rating of approximately 4. Louiville and WVU can barely sniff 3...I think WVU finished 23rd..and Louiville around 40th.

You can wish for playoff all you want. You're not going to get it anytime soon with PAC10 and Big10 not wanting to participate in the game after BCS.

It's what it is and rules are rules.

You know...it's no long 2004, but the recruits from 2004 are the ones that'll kick butt on the field next year.

Blah, blah. It is a sham. Pat White a 2*? Slaton a 3*? Lazear a 3*? Reynaud a 3*? That's beyond sham. That's just *****ic.

Of course, you also have to take into consideration the system WVU runs. The Rimmington winner last year played from WVU - he was short, underweight, but agile and fast - exactly what WVU uses for the read option. According to both Scout and Rivals, he was only worth 1*...yet in his Senior year, he was considered the best in the country. Because WVU runs a lot of off-kilter schemes, they take different athletes.

Well, you are right about this. If I'm them, I wouldn't want change either.

This is true...and WVU's #50-something recruiting classes from 2003-2005 are freakin' amazing, aren't they? Haha. I still remember that "horrible" recruiting class filled with Freshmen and Sophomores taking it the Senior-filled SEC champs back in 2006. Haha...seriously, those recruiting services suck. WVU got one HELL of a great class last year...amazing athletes. Louisville did, too. Pittsburgh has also been getting good classes....though Wandstedt sucks ass. Lok for USF to continue getting decent classes, too.

Stop hijacking my thread please... gawd

Nature of the beast when you ask about the cool parts about our individual school, sadly, note that I didn't start it...but, hey.....it's officially August...if you only knew what that means to me, Z, and the rest of us.....

Good thread idea - Well, pre-hijacking :meanie:

I think about wanting to apply to USC (even though I am a UCLAer 4 lyf), but they are the only pharmacy school that requires some interpersonal communication whatever class instead of general public speaking, which I already took and the majority of others accept. It's like, alright, what if I go ahead and take this class, and then they don't accept me? Grrr!

/end rant. Continue thread.
